A decorated marine general sworn to honor is equated with stormy. Dear lord.

Does being a marine general automatically put you above reproach?  Especially 5 years after the incident?  Why didn’t he resign right after Trump said it if he is so off put by the remarks.  Would that not be the honorable thing to do?

Not anonymous. John Kelly, a Marine General, confirmed the story publicly. You and I have a very different definition of debunked

The original story from the Atlantic was four anonymous sources.  Why would that leftist rag print something from people that would not stand by their word?  That is a problem with today’s reporting.  John Kelly has an axe to grind and he, along with Stormy, are about the same type of personality.

So trump denied it and it’s debunked? My 2 cents - stick with border stuff.

He did call McCain a loser for getting captured.  I don’t deny that.  The other you are asking us to believe four anonymous sources during an election process and the incident happened two years prior?  Oh, do you still believe Russian paid bounties to Taliban fighters to kill American? That was on ole’ lying Biden too during the campaign.

You would tell a city that they could not have a Christmas tree?  I wouldn't.  Why is allowing a municipality to decide for themselves a bad idea?  What Ft Lauderdale does may be different than what Ocala does.  That should be ok and should be a local decision.

No, I wouldn’t, but that is apples to oranges.  Christmas parades are usually sponsored by someone other than the government.  Pride parades are too.  DeSantis is talking about government structures and would that would show favoritism.

Actions by government officials should be directed toward finding common ground, instead of fertilizing those seeds of division.

I look at it like this:

A government should not show favoritism toward any particular sect of the people.  By allowing colors of one group to be displayed on government structures it shows that ideology/religion as being favored by government.  Why would the LBGTQjdnlm coalition be looked upon favorable by a government?  There are some people who do not agree with their platform.

I would believe *the science* that *climate change* is an existential threat if

    1) there weren’t so many other existential threats in the world,

    2) our leaders and elites took personal responsibility for leading the way by example and

    3) China and India take the issue seriously.

Change those three things and you will have a convert.  Good luck.

(I couldn't find the OP to quote, so I lifed this from  auburnnatl1's quote):

Can anyone explain the logic behind this post?  I sure don't see it.

How are the three conditions listed related to the reality of AGW one way or the other??

You have me on ignore you idiot.  Of course you couldn’t find the OP I wrote.

The logic is if our leaders and elites actually believed AGW was an existential threat, they would lead my example instead of demanding their constituents comply when they don’t.

Another question for you; if China and India is not held to the Paris Accord how is the world going to reach Net Zero by 2050.

Governor Newsom’s state of California was flush with cash after all the Covid money sent to him.

While finalizing the upcoming fiscal year’s state budget back in May 2022, California governor Gavin Newsom boasted of an extraordinary projected surplus: $97 billion. The governor immediately collaborated with an enthusiastic state legislature to spend it all. Of course, new spending on new programs and benefits tends to become permanent.

    https://mishtalk.com/economics/californias-deficit-is-222-billion-and-the-state-is-1-6-trillion-in-debt/

The governor and the Legislature two years ago approved a $54.3 billion spending package for what he called his “California Climate Commitment.” After a round of trims last year, Newsom in January proposed an additional $2.8 billion in cuts, or 7%, this year. Then, earlier this month, he proposed more than doubling that amount by adding another $3.3 billion in funding cuts. In all, that is a 17% reduction, or $9.4 billion, from the 2022 peak.

The governor also has proposed delaying the funding of some of the state’s programs.

For instance, the Clean Cars for All program, which helps lower-income Californians replace their older gas-powered cars, was slated to get $45 million next year, but Newsom has suggested delaying that money until the 2027-28 fiscal year. He will be termed out of office by then. The program received $611 million in one-time funding in the 2021 through 2023 budgets but it has not all been allocated yet.

https://calmatters.org/environment/climate-change/2024/05/california-climate-programs-newsom-budget/#:~:text=The governor and the Legislature,or 7%%2C this year.

Even Newsom realizes the programs set up in todays world is not sustainable.  He, like other green initiative leaders, realize you can’t force compliance unless you pay for it and he can’t afford it.

Would this experiment be any better if Biden tried the same thing?  Our infrastructure isn’t ready for this extreme change.

Reports indicate that not a single electric vehicle charging station has been constructed with the $7.5 billion in federal investment available through the Federal Highway Administration’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program, threatening the Biden administration’s goal to build 500,000 EV chargers by 2030.

    https://www.abc.org/News-Media/Newsline/reports-zero-electric-vehicle-charging-stations-built-under-nevi-program-requiring-union-labor

Whether believe AGW or not, the plan to get to Net Zero by 2050 will not work.

I won’t make it to 2050, but if that is the point of no return and we don’t make the numbers at least the population of the earth can concentrate of more important things.

Maybe because you knew you were up to no good and you had ultimately funded the Wuhan Lab GOF Research against orders from the Obama White House?

Ding, ding, ding.  Fauci was so arrogant that he knew his GOF was his pet project and was protecting it as best he could once COVID hit.  I remember the back and forth between Senator Rand Paul and Fauci and Fauci changing the definition of GOF to fit his needs.  Something is not right about all this.

Nothings ever enough for you maga boys. You  already got your flaming moat, Gazan’s off the planet, and everyone’s heterosexual - you don’t care who’s president. Just relax and enjoy blowing the hell out of  trees with your bazooka.

In reality, if Biden were no longer president the other things would fix themselves.
