it is a bad look tater............i might be aloyofyhings but i will never dishonor myself enough to vote for the crook who is using yall all the way to the bank.

The problem is that Trump isn't using me for anything. If you post lies or mistruths (dishonorable) and I call them out deal with it and stop. Maintain some dignity. Not complicated.

I actually like liberals. An important perspective. But then again maybe I’m going nuts.

Me too. Side with them on many issues, and oppose others. Just have a conversation and stop shouting each other down. You're not going nuts.

Well watching you and Homer go at it is a fun spectator sport. You might want to mention you’re not a trumpster before he spontaneously detonates.

Lol. He knows. He gets riled when I point out lies and then tries to insinuate nonsensical BS. It's sad but expected. I actually enjoy it up until the point it becomes clownlike.

I understand. And it’s not outrage, just poking fun. Candidly if trumpsters would just say they prioritize policy (border, social issues, ect) over personal character - I’d disagree with the decision making, but at least I’d get it.  Trying to defend the words and actions of potentially the most flawed and immoral president in American history is just a bad look and hopeless waste of everyone’s time.

I too understand. I'm not a trumpster, so I can't speak for them, but I am trying to recall them saying they voted for him due to his character. For me, pointing out lies from the left is just that. Pointing out lies. IIWII

So he “conceded” on … Jan 7th, presumably while a demolition team was tearing downing the gallows.

Pioneered a whole new approach to the peaceful transfer of power.

I simply responded to a video with a similar video from ABC. You can take up your outrage with ABC. I don't care if you do. I honestly don't.

Fine.....  You hang your belief on ABC (fake news) in which Trump neither actually said he conceded the election nor offered the traditional democratic congratulations to his opponent didn't and I will depend on what Trump actually claims, now.

    Feel better? :comfort:

It's not about me feeling better. I responded to a previous poster with the ABC video Titled Trump Concession or something to that effect. You had a conniption. How is that making me feel better?

The cute little icon doesn't excuse evasion.

Nor does saying "I haven't researched it " excuse posting on a political thread in a state of total ignorance.

It literally took you just minutes to forget what we were talking about. SMH.

I simply refuse to get caught up in another of your endless loop of stupidity posts.

  8. 33 minutes ago, homersapien said:

Well, like I said before.  He didn't really concede.  All he said was the election was certified (by congress). He certainly didn't congratulate Biden on winning.  He probably was thinking the congressional vote was somehow fraudulent.

Regardless, now, he is clearly claiming he actually won and the election was fraudulent.

Does that not prove he never really conceded?

(Or are you arguing he had is fingers crossed?)

Again you state he didn't concede, yet ABC has an article stating he did. I simply posted it. If you disagree with their article call them and complain.

Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers’

The president has repeatedly disparaged the intelligence of service members, and asked that wounded veterans be kept out of military parades, multiple sources tell The Atlantic.

No. I don't believe so. But admittedly, I haven't researched it. My life doesn't revolve around Trump.

This discussion is not about any sort of disdain for the colors.  The discussion is in no way shape or form about those that fought to protect our way of life.  Instead, the discussion is about protecting those freedoms many sacrificed so much to preserve.

There is an entire social construct on the far right that believes the only way to win an argument is to paint those that they disagree with as being anti American and evil.  They want those that argue against them to be viewed as destroyers of the American way of life.  By pushing that way of thinking, they control their base and ensure their loyalty while forever tainting their opponents.  That is not the American way.

When the other side is labeled as anti-American, a voter has no choice but to support them, regardless of their behavior or self dealing.  They become immune to any scandal and evade responsibility for any decision made.  After all, to support their opponent is to be anti American.

I disagree. There certainly is disdain for the colors. There is disdain for those who fought to preserve freedoms.

There are a couple posts from yesterday honoring the colors and those that gave all. Quite certain not one person from the left responded. Telling.

And you should be. Thank you your sacrifice and service. The disagreement is simply over the word “freedom” and should the state be limiting local municipalities on their right to express free speech on public structures. Even if we don’t like what they’re saying.

    Freedom is…. complicated.

It was an honor and a privilege. I'm sorry if I don't get the disagreement/complication. The Red, White, and Blue provide the freedom and privileges we enjoy. More and more people each year have disdain not only for the colors, but also for those that fought and died to insure them. I don't comprehend that ignorance.

That simply isn’t right.  His first attack of McCain was in an interview he did in June of 2015 (just a month after he announced he was running).  This from a guy that got out of serving because he had…. flat feet.

He's not a war hero, he's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured, okay? I hate to tell you.

    https://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/trump-attacks-mccain-i-like-people-who-werent-captured-120317

While John McCain and President Donald Trump were in the same party, their rivalry was bitter.

Here are five key moments that marked a sharp political and personal feud.

    1. Trump 'fired up the crazies'

In the summer of 2015, Donald Trump launched his bid to be the Republican Party's presidential nominee with an attack on Mexican immigrants.

"They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some I assume are good people," he said, to widespread condemnation at the time.

This first campaign outing was also when Mr Trump brought up his plan to build a wall on the US southern border.

Mr McCain swiftly denounced the businessman's attacks on immigrants, accusing him of "firing up the crazies" with his views.

    2. McCain not 'a war hero'

While the senator may have been the first to fire, Mr Trump was swift to respond.

Less than a month after his Mexican immigrants speech, the reality TV star said at a campaign event in Iowa that Mr McCain was not a war hero.

I have Auburn tents.  Again, your assumption is that, if someone disagrees with this that they are opposed to freedom in some way.  As a country, we don't have a monopoly on freedom.  For over a century, we have defended the rights of people around the world to be free.  In other words, to have self determination.

We have stood against Nazi Germany, the Empire of Japan and many others.  We have provided security for conquered nations and assisted them in building the framework that exists today, which has resulted in Germans and citizens of Japan also living in free societies.

All of these things should be celebrated and we should respectfully pause to honor the sacrifices of those that gave their lives in this pursuit.  We can do all of that without mandates from government officials.

I gave up my tents many years ago for a lodge with warm beds, a fully stocked bar, and a chef!

This bridge matter is trivial and certainly not in the forefront of my mind. But today, as I plant my feet firmly in this great states sand, I am proud to be a veteran and proud to honor the Red, White, and Blue.

This is a quote by former Trump Chief of Staff John Kelly, retired General, describing comments and actions he observed by Trump concerning service members past and present..........

"A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them,'" Kelly said of Trump. "A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family — for all Gold Star families — on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.”

Like I stated above, Trump did trash McCain. It was inexcusable.

I also noted he did quite a bit for veterans. To state otherwise is inaccurate and simply lies spread for political gain or the fact you simply hate the man and have no integrity.

This is exactly what DeSantis wants people to do.  Make a false assumption and thereby define this as good vs. evil or American vs. anti American.  There is no truth to it whatsoever.

Again, the order isn't to decorate all bridges with red white and blue lights.  If that was the order, it would have to be done at the expense of the State.  This order simply says IF you decorate a bridge, you must then do so in red white and blue lights.  This is more like IF you have a Christmas tree, that tree must use colored lights and have a star on top.  If you refuse to decorate your tree in that manner, does that mean that you hate Christmas?

    I couldn't disagree more.

I understand the significance of our colors and the freedoms they provide. My whole crew has our patriotic beach umbrellas shining in their full glory this morning and proudly so. I don't take those freedoms lightly.

And again, you can shine your pink lights at your house with no issues.

You are the one who tried to demonstrate Trump did conceded 2020 election.

You could have just dropped it.   But noooo....

I shared an ABC clip titled Trump Concession. And? Your point?

Drop what? WTH are you even rambling about?

i just showed you the facts. man up and admit you were wrong.

That's simply untrue. The Factcheck article Salty provided covers the settlement in the article you posted and corrects the lies associated with it. Just because a partisan site tells lies doesn't mean you have to run with it. Homey is well known for doing this. I wish you wouldn't follow that path.

Did you read the part where they proactively hid emails and discussions from Congress and the public? Where THEY BRAG about conning the stupid people in the nation? We expected to find that policy would change when they got more info. Every educated person on the planet EXPECTS THAT. Why did they feel the need or THE RIGHT to trample federal law into the ground?

If you arent mad about that, can 2nd Amendment people now trample all gun laws? Can Businesses trample OSHA Laws? Can doctors do away with records for patients that die of bad treatment? Can the rest of the nation just s*** on any laws we see as mildly bothersome? Can Americans just opt out of taxation? I mean that is what you are saying: If the laws offended Fauci et all then they were perfectly fine to circumvent them. THAT IS YOUR TAKE ON ALL THIS. THAT IF THE LAW IS IN YOUR WAY, IGNORE IT.

    Amazing isn't it? Go team!
