  1. Thanks Coach for the great write-up:

I can’t say enough about the job being done by OC Mike Bobo as well. I was less than excited about the hire, but have to admit, I was wrong. I don’t recall an Offensive Coordinator at Auburn (maybe Al Borges?) doing a better job of manipulating opposing defenses via formations, misdirection, and play calls. As an old coach, I’d hate the prospect of preparing a defense for all that Bobo offers. The use of multiple tight ends….and I mean USE, not just deployment…is just a pleasure to watch.

I agree that Bobo wasn't the splash Offensive Coordinator that I wanted either, but he has done a fantastic job. The 3 designed  Quarterback runs by Bo Saturday were all at the perfect time. I also Love the use of the Tight ends & Shenker moving from Fullback to Tight end is awesome. I thought when we signed Brandon Frasier he was going to be the man, but with Shenker, Deal, Fromm, King & next year Ducker coming in, he might never get a chance. Good times indeed.

Robinson had to wait on his. Not a "bad" pass but Bo's thrown better. But that actually goes back to the OP. Bo threw a decent pass but DRob made a really, really good catch. QB1 and the pass catchers combined for a stellar effort all game long. Nothing but good.

But, if it hasn't been said already, props need to be given to the OL for their protection. Only 2 QB hurries all game long. Bo stayed comfortable. Run blocking a different story...

    but Bo's thrown better.

No doubt ; that sideline pass to DRob in the Georgia game was a bullet , I'm surprised that was the one he caught. He also threw a nice sideline pass against Arkansas but it didn't have the same velocity as the one in the Georgia game.

Praying for you guys. I know you don’t know me from Adam but if you ever need to talk I’m here.

Praying for you & your ex as well Fifty, and I love the username MustardSeed -(If you have Faith the size of a MustardSeed you can move mountains). Without Faith I would have never made it through certain situations in my life (including the loss of my wife to cancer).

    • Still more foolish penalties than we can afford. Discipline takes time and repetition to learn; I believe we will get there eventually.
    • I believe the worst one to me was the offsides call on Fair on 4th and 2; the quarterback literaly only said "hike" one time & Fair knocked him down. Needless to say , I don't think he played any more after that stupid penalty.

    Just play DD

This is how I feel as well; I don't thinl Bo or TJ are capable to win many of our upcoming games, why not start preparing for the future. Davis or Greiner will be the starter next year anyway, might as well start preparing now; who knows he might ball out (and probably will) when given the opportunity.

Being a 3rd or 4th string Corner isn’t that big a deal these days. They’ll get plenty of opportunity to rotate in. I’m surprised Miller isn’t your second guy with Roger anchoring the other side. I always just kind of assumed he’d be good enough to secure that 2nd CB spot. And I’ve seen a lot of depth charts with JSS starting at tight end.

I have always been a fan of Shenker, but I love me some Deal as well.

4th page. Nuts. He is as eligible to become a star in the league this season as anyone else on the team.

Yep, I have been reading the thread at work but can't remember my password to log in to my username (the only way I can at home is because it's auto saved), and kept seeing names being swiped and thought maybe Hall will still be there when I get home from work. I think him and Height might be what we have been missing for a long time at AU. After a couple of years of Offensive linemen, I figured it was a good time to swap sides of the ball.

Good God! I wouldn't either, where do they charge that?

Last time I ate at 5 guys it was $ 18.00 and I said if I'm going to pay that much for a burger I might as well go to Longhorns & pay $25.00 for a steak. I'm like E, it doesn't impress me, I don't need 15 pounds of potatoes with my burger anyway.

He was first off the board. So, pick again!

I swear I went back & looked at every post & saw the rules posted by Valley Tiger, but skipped right over his pick (Sorry Valley).. Give me Brandon Counsel ( I'll live & die with another Offensive Linemen).

Judging by what McCreary put on tape this year and the fact that he's got a leg up as far as experience in the system, give me that fighter from Mobile.

Doesn't mean I don't like Domio either tho.

I agree with you; I know there was one or two on here that weren't impressed with McCreary, but I was and it sure is funny JMR mentioned him in every one of his Things I Thought I saw game recaps.

First of all, I’m really excited to have this kid!!!  He put us(Warren Central) out of the playoffs on his way to a State Championship!  He’s a monster!!!!

Second, Gus talked about his versatility on the O side during his presser.  No indication of D at all.  I hope they have a clear and well-communicated plan for JJ.  I don’t want him to be one of those “freak athletes who just didn’t fit any one position well” guys that make us dream about what could’ve been.

Finally got around to watching his tape and while I agree with others that he would wreak havoc on Defense, if Chad is truly calling plays I hope he stays on Offense; him lined up as an H-back as he was in some of that tape he would be devastating blocking , running or catching the ball out of the backfield or lined up on the line as a Tight end.

I have been surprised with D.T. #24 play this season. He just seems to have taken a step back to me. I had high hopes but I am ready to see more of Smoke and Sherwood. I think next year our secondary as a whole takes a step. Kind of like the LB group this year, less experience, but better athletes. It will hurt losing Dinson, but he isn't irreplaceable. J. Davis will be gone and possibly Iggy. If Iggy comes back we would have Iggy and McCreary at CB at I am guessing, Tutt at NB, and Monday and Sherwood at Safety..?  I like the sound of that. Same LB corp and a solid D line that will obviously take a step back but should still be solid.

I've been impressed with McCreary this season and I  know JMR wrote about him in most of his "Things I thought I saw"; Tutt on the other hand is a great open field tackler, don't know if I've seen him miss one yet.
