  1. Believe you're right...yet in our house, it's my husband that spoils this ca-person... 🤣 ...your girls are precious!
  2. Mouth hanging open....yayyyyyy! Absolutely adorable. Those sweet paws! I am so happy for her. What a great dad, seriously...my parents never let me replace soon enough. I still remember them saying "There's a surprise in your room" one day after school. Expecting a new kitten on my bed, it was a mini TV on the dresser. Most third graders' dream, but not mine. Needless to say, that's one thing we did differently for ours. Too many need adoption! Posting a pic of our goofy Pierre...who we rescued days after inexplicably losing our smoky Elisha. I honestly believe this is part of grief's cure. Gray tabbies and I go back a long way....
  3. I'm so sorry. It's very soon, but will Jillian be wanting to adopt some new friends in need of good homes at some point in the future? Any would be blessed to be so loved...when grief has had its run course.
  4. They SOUNDED even larger. That's a ten gallon bucket...but they're happily in a (real) pond now...
  5. No more happy home at the house for these guys...yasssssssssssssss!
  6. So, SUPER throwback, but I just can't get enough of James Taylor these days. I holler at Alexa, and she never disappoints! 🤣 First one for the straight-up harmony. Next for same reason.
  7. Aren't they great? Always and forever...love the Michael McDonald solo stuff too.
  8. Halfway through the 6 episodes of "Alias Grace" right now...based on true events...young Irish immigrant sentenced for life for the double-murder of boss and housekeeper...Toronto, 1843. Had me at Irish. Riveting!
  9. I'm so sorry. I was hopeful with the rally. Prayers for you all, special ones for Jillian.
  10. It sure is! Probably great for wading...
  11. That. Is. Gold. Any rapids?...ahhhh, the sound! I brake for creeks...just had a walk along Autauga Creek. @ellitor ... Daniel Pratt...legacy!
  12. Don't know if it's the "ONLY pic" of the four variations, but arresting, just the same...
  13. You tell her CONGRATULATIONS! There is an uber special place in God's heart for middle school teachers. I couldn't do anything without my husband's help, and I may be changing classrooms too as grades shift campuses. Congratulations to you, too!
  14. I am learning....I LOVE MOVIES, but I don't watch a lot of TV. I've been checking out the "limited" mini-series in case I don't like them. "SelfMade", "Unorthodox", and "People Vs. OJ" all fit that mold. I think I am afraid of getting hooked into some multiple season something and not getting other things done...because I know myself...
  15. Well...and you know "me"...my heart went out to her because of the oppression she underwent. I can't resist a true story...overcomer...even if the "happy ending" is mixed. I didn't know much about this particular sect of Jewish culture. We have been blessed to visit NYC many times and on our last trip, a tour of the LowerEastSide and the landmark staples was phenomenal. Seeing her walk into Berlin knowing the brutality and unspeakability of its history during the Holocaust...memories of touring Mauthausen CC not that long ago...I couldn't get over the courage that, while she was turning her back on the uber-legalistic nature of the community in which she lived, she was embracing her Jewish heritage as she embraced her freedom, if that makes any sense. I can't stand legalism in any religion...or in anything outside of religion, either. Inside, I'm too much of a free spirit... Have you seen it? I would be really interested in another's take.
  16. "American Crime Story: People vs. OJ Simpson"...sure we are late to the party on that one. Just finished "Unorthodox." True story, excellent. Jewish 19-year-old leaves Hasidic lifestyle in Brooklyn and finds a new life in Berlin. #wow
  17. My kinda booth. Not mine. Just my kinda.
  18. LOVE....and still heartbroken about Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper, and this guy....even though it was way (?) before my time!
  19. I am going to have to put that on my list. "The Road to El Dorado" was last night, viva Cinco de Mayo!
  20. Bird. Who is this little guy? For about a year, I've been thinking it was @Brad_ATX as a child or his little boy...🤫🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😇
  21. Transition pretty good...our young system was built on technology...school system able to provide for inequities, which was our prime concern. Miss the hugs, the collective AHA moments, the celebrations (doing Mothers' Day Spa virtually tomorrow...best we can do), the eye to eye contact, and the spontaneous, humorous moments. Miss knowing they're safe and okay. DO NOT miss the 45 minute one-way commute or the "90% female environment." REALLLY don't miss the regimented schedule, the meltdowns (2 sweet high-functioning Autistics...one, bless her, but she's come so far), and the micromanagement that rears from time to time. 🤣🤣🤣 It's really been good in a big pic sense. I am very, very fortunate...super-blessed. Our nearby lakes have been an oasis for many. We're tackling backyard projects to make one here. 🤗😁 What age does she teach? The one thing I'll always envy about teaching in a parochial school is being able to comfort and do life from a faith perspective without worrying about fetters. When is her "last day"? Ours was to be June 2 due to late construction start...then May 29...now, May 22, "for all practical purposes"--admin. No one is complaining. 🤫😉
  22. He was first the luckless Daryl! 🤣😉 https://www.google.com/search?q=coming+to+america+akeem+and+daryl&client=ms-android-hms-tmobile-us&prmd=ivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjMk_amz5vpAhUST98KHS0VAQ8Q_AUoAXoECAwQAQ&biw=360&bih=560#imgrc=0O0nMmsDRqvbdM
