  1. You win - im talking more about spacing the guys out and having good talent in the event Bo gets hurt and having the next man up when he leaves.
  2. I say best case because if he wins the job I'm betting we end up with TJ and the other guys that are not ready to play or just not the talent we are looking for in the SEC (unless someone really surprises us). Best case is Bo is the best QB for us this season.
  3. If TJ came to AU and won the job - I'm betting Bo would look to transfer. Our best case here is that TJ is a quality guy that can give us some depth and be a very capable SEC QB next season. With the transfer portal set up like it is, teams are going to have a tough time keeping more than 2 quality QBs at the level we want AU to play. Teams in the SEC need a guy who they can depend on to play their sophomore and/or junior seasons and then have the next guy up. That is the only way I see teams keeping 2 legit QB's on the same team. Look no further than to our immediate west and you get a good idea what a QB rotation should look like. If a guy comes back for his senior year or a younger guy wins the job you will see good QBs hit the market. Regardless, we need a guy like TJ to be on the team right now.
  4. FWIW - Im not a fan of this idea. Sure, we may have better reasons than "some other school" to claim those, but they did it before the age of the internet and social media. They were able to tell the lie long enough that it became fact before the digital age. It would never fly with us and would cause more drama than it would ever be worth. We know the great teams and could claim them, but it would never be recognized by the likes of ESPN where you would get the most benefit from a program prestige standpoint. Basically, we would get mocked by anything outside AU.
  5. *Offensive Tackle (Allen H.S.) has entered transfer portal* *Tight End (Allen H.S.) has entered transfer portal* In all seriousness he should do extremely well there and probably will not be there long.
  6. Honestly, the best and most refreshing post I have read on here in a long while! While I doubt CGM is reading this and going to pick it up next season, its at least fun to dream......
  7. I would feel much better about anger/meanness issues if the guy was an OL. That could actually be good for the team at the moment. I hate to see an obviously talented guy getting kicked to the curb. Considering I do not know the context of the "red flag" maybe this is beyond repair. Hopefully we are not talking felony issues. I can think of a couple of guys who went to some other school we all know that were not exactly saints.....worked out pretty well there. That said - I do get it that this is not in character for Gus. Maybe that is a good thing? 🤷‍♂️
  8. Oh, I do not wonder at all. A friend of mine once said "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes". Throwing a fire bomb at a guy with a rifle and chasing him down a street to attack him is not a smart game to play.
  9. So I saw the full video. This is unfortunately what you are going to see more of as people get fed up with the rioters. I do not believe he should be charged with murder when you have fire bombs thrown, kicked, punched, skate board attacked?, and a guy holding a pistol. If anything - he has been way overcharged in this case and the prosecutor is set up for failure.
  10. Someone please tell me you cant fit a child-seat in a Charger....... Loving the idea of this beast in O&B!
  11. I was just having a bit of mean fun before his commitment! 😃
  12. Well that is not the news you want to hear right before someone is going to commit. How did Ohio State suddenly become a factor?
  13. I really don't want it to be negative. I am very happy he is considering us. Truth is - he MAYBE just got his driver's license. He will be HEAVILY recruited non-stop. Even if he signs with us I will be absolutely shocked if he doesn't waiver on his commitment - and I will not blame him! Even though it is to the good guys I think these guys should wait unless they are just die hard bama hating, bulldog kicking Auburn fans.
  14. I'm just leaving this comment here to come back and look at in 3 years. In before "We didn't want him anyway". Seriously though, a lot will change in 3 years. Hope this sticks, but kids this young should wait. Sounds like he committed to the coaching staff and everyone he mentioned could very well be gone in 3 years regardless of how the next couple of seasons play out.
  15. Haha - i didnt think it was as horrible as I had heard (my wife and I where starting Season 7 when it aired), but it did disappoint compared to the rest of the series. I am not exactly sure how I would want it to end though. My tag line is just a jab at those who had a complete come apart.
  16. I knew - just had to do a double take when I was first reading it!
  17. 130 D1 schools and we are number 72?? Maybe AU needs to up its benchpress.
  18. So you're saying we would be set at OG? Good thing we are loaded at the OT position! No knock on you with this post, just my general discontent with OL recruiting. We have great skill players and look to be struggling finding guys to give them time and space to do their thing. Some of these guys we are recruiting and currently have on roster are going to have to step up - BIG!
  19. The last post I read. This is exactly what I came here to be a smart@!s about!
  20. Yes, I watched last year. I watched Stidham do a great job with a pretty dang good O-line and a certain guy lighting it up in the NFL right now on a bad team. And let's be honest - a passing record at AU is not exactly a high bar. For Gus to be consistent - I think he needs an RPO guy. When KJ got hurt - we got rocked. Not that it was on JS that we got rocked but due to the stubborn coach we have not changing the plan. The only way to combat the stubbornness is to have the mobile QB. This is what I fear for Bo is that he is in the mold of JS, but I dont think he is suited to start for 3 years without a really good O-line. KB is at least a 1 or 2 year answer to get us through what may be another rough year in the trenches for our O-line.
  21. Well, kind of hate to hear that is the case, but I imagine it has to be frustrating and he is set for life in any matter!
  22. I figure he is more likely to leave than stay, but not sure if he feels he can improve his draft stock from what has been a pretty disappointing season. The O-line has to get better, right? I would feel worlds better about Bryant right now. I use to try and kid myself into believing Gus could use any QB and develop a QB. Now it seems pretty clear he needs a mobile QB who can execute the RPO. Just have to hope Bryant has it between the ears like Marshall because Gus isnt going anywhere after this year and it appears Bryant is our next QB.
