It was not until a Donte Pettis punt return that they really got going. I know it is a different team / different season but I hope they start this slow again and let us get a score and turnover early! I expect to see A LOT of Gaskins. I think this horse has been beaten! Last night we had at least 3 - maybe 4 - pass plays (that I saw) where we had no check down. Only 3 deep routes and everyone else blocking. Even the SECN announcers picked up on this. I wish we would at least run one 10-15 yard in-route out of those 3. Maybe this is why I am not coaching. We have already seen what happens when you play 50/50 on every pass play with talented DBs. I do not expect anything more against Armani Watts and the bama DBs. Probably uga, but I just do not know enough about them yet.

We did what we should have done. Had this been the coaching mentality last week we would be heading into the bye week undefeated in the SEC and at least #7 in the nation. To credit the play calling this week it seemed we ran off tackle on first down as opposed to always straight up the gut.

Last I heard he can break ankles. Too soon? In all serious I hope he has a quick recovery.

Pretty much how I have felt about SW. The kid makes good choices and I never had to hold my breath when he was throwing the ball. He has 2 knocks that, unfortunately, are not good qualities for an SEC QB - injury prone and trouble with throws over 20-25 yards. There are a lot of "what ifs" had he been given the opportunity to throw to a more diverse set of routes and kept out of obvious pass situations.

I am just guessing that the Bulldog fans are not giving him "rock star" status. I am not sure what site to look for a meltdown on their part, however. I would not necessarily beat myself up for not getting an engineers joke - we are not funny. Not funny at all.

Even on a night that Chad Kelly played the best game of his life and the best Ole Miss has ever seen - AU won and had several key defensive plays. I think that speaks volumes about where this team is nationally. If CK played every game like he did this past Saturday then AU/OM may have had Gameday present as opposed to SECN coverage.

I only want KB if he is a dual threat! =)
