I think the CKS comment on not commenting on Byron was to keep the public pressure off of Cowart. He did not respond well to that last year and I think they are trying to shield this kid from unwanted expectations. They don't want to criticize the kid and have the media and message boards take it and run with it. JMHO

They've picked their spokesmen very well this year. Intelligent and humble guys. And also wise to the media. I wonder how much time they've spent training these guys this year on speaking to the media.

I'm impressed with all of our students who spoke. They very deftly handled questions about JR. They talked about their own future contributions, but yet seemed to have the team attitude. All of them seemed like pretty good leaders. That's what this team has really needed. Hopefully, we will get some leadership out of the QB position too. I was so disappointed when Kerryon got hurt last year. He just has that spark, ya know? I hope he's gotten it back and will be stronger than ever. Looking forward to this fall. :-) Prayers over this team to stay healthy and unified.

I guess if we can say that this happened primarily because there was a coaching change and a different system, not because we found better guys and decided we'd dump him, then I'm okay with it. I just don't want this to become standard operating procedure. There was something in that 3* that they liked in order to offer him so much earlier in the recruiting process. I wish him all the best and hope that he becomes a huge success at Kentucky. And I hope he loves it there and is happy. This has to hurt this kid and I don't like that part of it.

I'm not at all comfortable that this kid was so excited about coming to Auburn and thought he was safe with his commitment, getting the school he wanted and the coach he wanted. I'm glad he had the chance to find another school, but let's be honest, I don't necessarily think our coaches were at all loyal to this kid. From what I understand, they kind of gave him the cold shoulder. I certainly hope we don't start "processing" kids like Bama. It is just plain wrong, IMHO.
