  1. The previous coach had solid overall class rankings, the problem is where those * came from on a position group basis.

For example: Everyone, other than the curmudgeon I won't mention by name, saw the OL problem coming a mile away.

This is not a 1 year fix unless the current staff happens to find some mean OL studs in the transfer portal

I know there's a lot of speculation on the injury but no one has confirmed it, right? If Bo was hurt then no way he should have even played the game last Saturday. You don't play an injured QB if it's going to affect his throwing and definitely not against a cupcake opponent. That's what you have reserves for. Let the backup play until the starter heals.

IMO, that's the excuse being trotted out by fans of his father.

I believe TJ should start but, I've never coached so...I wouldn't put much stock in my opinion.

Whoever starts, I hope he has a great game.

I suppose I was drinking the koolade thinking this could be a 9 win team. Now I’m thinking this may be a long hard slog.

In another segment Cole and Greg mentioned there were still players not fully buying in to the Harsin culture. So as 1auburn1 stated this could easily be a 2-3 year project.

IMO (and to obviously be taken with a large grain of salt), a new coach needs at least 4 years. I suppose that could change now with the transfer portal but seeing AU fans beat up Harsin and staff because Double Bubble was asleep at the wheel is wildly unfair. This is, more than likely, not a quick fix. There are too many deficiencies throughout the roster.

What are his other interview stops since you follow the guy so closely for reasons we can't know? I'm sure the guy hired already being in the system and being an alum; and just being a better fit at that particular school had nothing to do with his hire. I'm sure it was things Greene did wrong, am I right?

I don't frequent the board like I used to but I, like everyone else, knows why he believes Greene didn't get the job (and why he wants him out)....it has nothing to do with Greene's performance or decisions.

Why doesnt it? Tell me are vaccinated people 100% safe from getting COVID? How safe are people who have already had covid? You can find a well supported article for pro & anti vax, which basically means- we dont know yet. I fully support people who dont want something put in their body that isnt fully researched.

for the record- I support vaccinations, I get my flu shot, but I havent gotten a covid vax but I did have contract it last year

No vaccine in existence is 100%.

I get my flu shot every year and got the flu earlier this year (COVID test came back negative). I went from normal flu (laid up for 2 weeks, aches/pains/lethargy, etc) to it being roughly a moderately bad head cold with a shorter duration.

If you watch carefully, most of our linemen stop their feet once they make contact, and try to push the defender with their back, rather than their legs. That may work eventually, but when your feet stop, you stop. And when you stop, so does the inertia you started when you left your stance. By the time you can re-start your forward motion, it’s too late. I have no idea why that is happening, nor why it hasn’t been corrected.

When you say it that way, is that a byproduct of running RPOs? The OL are being coached like that to avoid the ineligible receiver penalty?

@JMR, with our zone run blocking, there have been some nice cut back lanes that have opened up that we are either not seeing or not able to get to. With KP and KJ not 100%, why do you think we aren't utilizing our other backs that are healthier and seem to be better cut back runners?

I've never coached but I think even I could answer that ;)

On the underthrown deep ball Stidham threw on the reverse out of the Wildcat formation, that was an extremely difficult throw. Stidham was moving to his left, making it tough to put a lot on the ball for a right-hander. Not a bad throw at all under the circumstances.

I remember thinking during the game that if the play was reversed, it would've been a TD because Stidham would have been able to get his feet under him and drive into the throw. I'm not a coach of any sort so I didn't say anything at the time :)
