Agreed on Nirvana. I never was a fan due to seeing them (on tv) do some pretty awful shows. Foo Fighters on the other hand is always solid. Their documentary series Sonic Highways is a musical masterpiece.

I sincerely hope Grohl is exactly how he appears in live performances and in-person because he seems to genuinely enjoy the fans, the music and the whole thing.
