I will not disagree with you. Sounds like you have attended some pride parades. I have been to Mardi Gras in NOLA for the past 3 or 4 years. It is an amazing event. Surprisingly to me it is very “family friendly”. Lots of fun and great folks.

Fiddy is great to have around during football season. Visit “Articles” on the football forum. He runs them all year but I enjoy it in the fall. Up before the sun with coffee waiting on the articles. Side note: I really start to get pumped about football after the July 4th holiday. If you recall pre computer that is when Athlon, Lindsay, and all other publications would come out their magazines and predictions. Would read them all cover to cover several times.

I would say the parades are much different. The majority of Christmas parades are of the hometown local variety and primarily for children and some community fellowship. Not sure what “pride” parades are about. Never attended one so sure you can shed more light on it than me. Suppose in some areas they could be for certain people to fellowship.

Not flying the rainbow bow flag or being proud to see rainbow lit bridges, changing to a different movie when scenes involve two men or two women kissing each other, not caring for a hotel commercial showing two men in bed together, etc…not going to pull the flags up or egg their house. Just don’t care for it.

The fuss is a bit silly. My understanding is that in the past lighting was left up to the cities. With Freedom Summer being a state thing it supersedes city decisions. Just happens to coincide with pride month.

Standard FDOT freedom red, white and blue. Only applies to FDOT maintained bridges. Guess you could decorate a private bridge anyway you want.
