  1. Yep the Covid 2020 season appeared to be her best year there on the plains. 10 innings in Florida at UF. And then just a week or 2 before the almost no hitter against #18 Minnesota in a 5-1 win for the Tigers. That one hit was a solo HR. Since that season though I don't think she has been 100% healthy.
  2. Yes, actually I saw her today in the bullpen warming up and has been pitching to the team in practice... I know that she was having a shoulder issue before the season and not as much movement on her ball as before. Also saw Lowe warm up and Penta as well. Not sure exactly what the game plan is for the pitching staff. But Yarborough threw a lot her sophomore year, and then Lowe last year. Both are struggling now and injured. Wonder if the over use has anything to do with it. Is Penta next on the injury list?
  3. Lowe is hurt according to the locals as well as Yarborough is not 100% either.
  4. A 1 hit 7 inning game win against #18 Minnesota, and I believe the game against #7 UF she went 10 innings and we lost in the 11th. Both were high quality opponents. Since then in 2021 and 2022 she has been injured in some form or fashion according to some of the things I have read and been told. Yarborough had a shoulder injury earlier this season and not sure what is was last year and I wonder exactly what Lowe's arm injury is as well. The wear and tear on the joint has to be taking a toll on all this pitchers that I am sure have played and practiced for years..
  5. It is interesting how she hasn't got back to pre-covid form. Makes you wonder about just how bad she may be injured. Same with Lowe. Lowe is definitely injured as when Lowe goes out it seems as if she hasn't been as effective as before. Penta's game has improved with the more accurate off speed pitch. It may be a really quick finish to the season without a full battery in the circle.
  6. Tgrogan your post got me entrigued so I went and read her bio and previous stats.. and after reading those I believe your post is inaccurate... I believe that Yarborough was stellar prior to covid and undefeated according to her stats precovid. Also I recall she was injured early both last year and this year. And the "definitely not enough skill" comment is not fair to the work that she or any of the other girls have put in... I am sure there are players that have things out of their control that affect their play. I wonder what she would have been had covid not shortened that season from seeing the accolades and reading her bio... War Eagle!!! Great job ladies!!!
  7. They have scored enough to run rule us in 2 innings.
  8. I believe both Lowe and Yarborough are injured from what I heard last weekend in Auburn... and doesn't matter how hard you throw if you can't move it and make a batter chase at pitches.. or get base hits. Homeruns are nice but need singles, doubles etc to generate runs offensively. It was a bad night all around....
  9. We should have played a better nonconference schedule. Seriously....What were we picked to finish in the SEC again?
  10. @slot canyon that is true. We faced the best pitching in a series thus far and it really showed how our bats are not as strong as we had thought.. now we start the slow descend through the SEC rankings... UF was not the free swingers 2nd time they saw Penta... The infield needs to be tweaked and Blaine needs to return to DP, Garcia to 3rd, Peralta at SS, McCondichie at 2nd. LF and RF should be true outfielders as too many balls landed just inside the lines as we appeared to misread and take the wrong steps off the bat... Cox doesn't have a strong enough arm to play the corner.
  11. Agreed, bring McConditchie or Garcia back to 2nd and use Smith, Falisi, or Geraghty for the outfield. Also when they zoomed in on Lowe's face in the 3rd and 4th she looked like she was in a lot of pain. Her eyes looked like she had been crying. Losing Bryant's bat will hurt. And Cox had too many errors.... I believe it was 5 or 6..
  12. That one is due to a bad decision and poor coaching... too many Errors by second base and pitching change etc...
  13. Going to be a long rest of the season with both Lowe and Yarbrough hurt leaving just Penta and Dismukes carrying most of the load.
  14. Lowe is hurt. Sam is hurt. Penta and KK are healthy at the moment. As for McCondichie she should be on the field. Even struggling her BA is the best on the team. Peralta may need to sit for a while to gain focus...IMO
  15. Word on the street is Sam's got a hurt shoulder from overuse ..... probably won't see her is what I have been told unless they rest it. Sounds a lot like the other pitching injuries...
  16. What a mistake. That kid can rake and is ONLY hitting .439..... who was subbed for her? I understood the Cox substitution but am floored by the McCondichie move..
  17. And 17 hits to our 8.... where is McConditchie..... one of the highest BAs on the team.....
  18. And still 16 hits to our 8 in ....... 10 innings
  19. Lowe's rise ball was NOT rising and as slot said left it in the kill zone as a high fastball. Game moved to tomorrow gives pitchers more rest for our girls and for A&M. Lowe's wrist appears to not allow the spin we have seen.. She should have been rested and not over worked against the lesser teams we played thus far... IMO KK did a phenomenal job.
  20. Slot my statement means we seem to either play up or down to our competition. The energy level and focus is different based on who is the opponent
  21. Appears we are playing to the level of competition we are facing..... could be good or bad... we shall see and I hope we play up next weekend
  22. There is some scuttlebutt that Lowe is battling a left wrist and elbow issue. Someone in the stands last night said she is getting shots in them as well. If I heard them correctly.
