  1. Saban ran off "money" at Bama in 2007. You don't think those "Beer Bryant" era guys were pissed at him then?
  2. Race is probably 10% of it, if that. 90% is simply because he's not tied to certain AU influencers and I personally believe AG was an easy target by them from day 1. And once AG knew this, he started looking. We've seen this play out too many times.
  3. So GB is only responsible for the good, and AG is only responsible for the bad? LOL
  4. I'm not ready to concede to the idea of someone with AU ties that won't be subject to the vice grips of the good ole boys. The good ole boys must be revolted against and locked out of the house, and I'm not sure any AU family can do this.
  5. I just can't accept that we kept Jay Jacobs that long and couldn't keep his successor who had more success. All the granular details, while valid, are also moot in a sense because the outcome is the outcome.
  6. He's not a good fit. Deion will "name names" because he has middle finger money and doesn't need Auburn.
  7. The guy still had to maintain his own program. Look how Florida fell off after Meyer left... Respectfully, that dog simply does not hunt.
  8. In other words, Greene was setup to fail from day one. The question is, why? There can be no progress without self-reflection.
  9. He had a nearly identical record Urban Meyer had at Utah before going to Florida. Coaches don't forget how to win...
  10. It absolutely does happen, but if I hire an executive with solid credentials and recommendations, but suddenly becomes a problem without a history of said problems...and is looking for a landing spot less than 2 years after being hired, I can't just ignore my mirror. We often ignore our mirrors.
  11. I love how the DC with multiple national titles is a "nut" and beneath Auburn simply because he didn't want to deal with our toxic work environments.
  12. Why was Greene not a good fit for Auburn? These things are typically found during the vetting and interviewing processes...
  13. If Auburn wasn't interested in Venables, why was there ever contact made to either he or his representation? Again..
  14. There was contact at minimum, and the fact that "a lot of people don't like him" is irrelevant. A lot of people don't like plenty of coaches. My point is, you never hear coaches air grievances about programs except ours, and Auburn people need to come to grips with why. Reference: (And please spare me your grievances on the source)
  15. So he left because of NIL? Have any other P5 ADs done so?
  16. Now we're getting somewhere. How often do you see a well-respected coach like Venables speak out like this about university that he interviewed with? This is RARE. So is UT's ADs comments. Sometimes the only people who can convince us the house is on fire are people across the street...
  17. People typically don't look for jobs if they know their current employer supports them. The question I always ask myself is, what caused ADAG to start looking elsewhere so soon? Some serious self reflection is needed on this, but it's never going to happen. It's amazing how few people are looking at this objectively.
  18. Has anyone ever considered that maybe nothing ever "changed" from the beginning, and that maybe the smoke over ADAG was there from day one?
  19. You'll get a lot of silly explanations on this... but deep down, we all know why.
  20. Any word on when this will be released to the public?
  21. I'm saying that many people use "tax increases" as a reason to be anti-Democrat, when they aren't even close to the targeted tax bracket.
  22. I just love how everybody's in a $400k household during an election season and scared of the Big Bad Democrat Tax on rich folks, now all of a sudden everybody's "struggling" when gas prices double. Which one is it?
  23. So there's only one AD with a contract expiring soon?
