Are you implying something? If you are trying to say I don’t want Freeze because he’s not a good fit, that’s BS. I don’t want Freeze because he’s a scumbag and he just recently DM’d a sexual abuse victim. So don’t know what you’re trying to say by quoting me

I'm simply saying your post encapsulates what is/isn't a 'good fit'. People ask, 'what's a good fit at Auburn anyway?'. Auburn's culture/perceived reputation and scumbags are not a good fit. It certainly wasn't meant to offend you.

  2. I wouldn't be able to speak to performance, but as far as appearance goes, I love our uniforms. They look polished and the color combo is still striking. Alabama's solid white looks as low rent to me as any uniform on the gridiron.

Every week I get excited and think this is the week.  It will be fun. The team will break out.  The tigers turn the corner.  And every week I am disappointed, frustrated, disheartened.  I just don’t like it any more. I am fed up, disgusted and just don’t care

I felt this way until San Jose State. I was done after that game. It was just too bad.

He would be a step up, but not a big enough step for me.

Yes! This is our time. We better hit this one out of the ballpark or we are bottom feeders indefinitely. We can't do another 'marginally better than what we have now'. We've run out of lives.

We should forfeit the rest of the season

I have actually wondered if that's even possible. What happens if we run out of quarterbacks? How do you even play? Our oline and suspect coaching is putting these guys at risk for serious, career ending injury. Is that even fair? I can't even believe I'm thinking these things, but my gosh I don't think I ever imagined our football program could fall this far, this fast.

Golden parachutes are pretty common for high paid execs in all industries, especially for Fortune 500 companies and then high flying tech companies -- both private and public. I agree it's obnoxious, but it is by no means uncommon.

True. I don't usually associate golden parachutes with execs who have completely tanked their companies, but I guess it does happen.

Can't get any coach worth a flip with those type stipulations

I get it, and with superagents it's even harder. But how did it get this way?  I can't think of any other job where you can come completely undone, fail in every aspect to the detriment of your employer and not have a monetary consequence.

It should work both ways. Number of wins, bowl games, championships, recruiting rankings should all have bonuses attached. The idea that we are paying multiple coaches millions for sucking it up is 🤬
