You always find drama it’s cute.  and you take yourself sooo seriously 😂😂😂☠️. I haven’t blocked anyone either but you’re definitely at the top of my list

I'd never be that lucky. I'd sure miss being ignored by you and your...198 post reactions? Wait, that can't be right. You've been here at least a year, and that's all you have? Maybe try saying a few things that aren't mindless drivel.

Well, I've been watching college bball for a long time and I'll tell you two things I've never seen. A 5'10 shooting guard do well at the major d1 level. And, a spot up shooter convert to being a solid pg.

And, I'm still for Dior. Look at it this way. A second chance on Cam got us a National championship. And, a second chance on Pearl got us a final 4. If you're not a blue blood sometimes you have to be a bit more "flexible" to get to the top. hehe

    ways of the world.

None of the people you mentioned physically hurt women. Draw the line somewhere, man. Let's have some dignity as a school...and a fanbase.

I think you’re still being hard on NIL because your feelings are a bit hurt.  Yes there are mistakes but it’s a new product.  The first airplane that flew was only a few seconds and people laughed.  How many flights happen every year now?

So were you fine with the “integrity” of the sport before you seldomly missed out on a recruit and got sad?  When players were not being compensated at all for their time, energy, and physical bodies being drained?

I've never done this before...but you're honestly the first person I'm considering blocking on grounds of sheer dumb responses.

You mean how Kentucky just hires like their 7th choice. A guy who has never won a ncaa tourney game or conference title. Gah have some self respect blue blood kentucky!! 😂😂

And he was their 7th choice for a reason (and still a better hire on paper than Scheyer). At least UK tried. You want Auburn just to go straight to what should be their 7th choice.

The next head bball coach at AU will be Steven Pearl. Folks just need to understand this and accept it. It’s going to be a Pearl dynasty at AU. Or at least attempt to be one. I’m perfectly fine with it. The 2 biggest blue bloods just promoted in the last few years from  within a guy who had no head coaching experience. Who are we to turn our nose up at that? Steven already has more assistant coaching experience as scheyer did when he took over and maybe even Hubert Davis as well. Steven Pearl is a lottery ticket and I see it as low risk high reward.

Duke has the Alabama problem after Bear. They could have went out and got nearly anyone they wanted and they picked Scheyer cause they have to stay in the Coach K tree, and every friend I have thats a duke fan was screaming no. I dont think we should emulate that and add our own pinch of nepotism to go along with it. Have some self respect, Auburn.

You can't show me evidence that "blueblood coaches" discipline their players while Pearl does not. You are talking about coaching style, not whether a coach or not maintains discipline.

I dont know about blue bloods but...I know if BP is disciplining his players, it ain't enough.

I mean it’s definitely a bad situation, however it was two years ago and they’re just college kids if the staff has evaluated him and really done their digging and feel like he’s changed then I’m all for him coming aboard because people deserve second chances. I don’t think pearl would allow any funny business in the locker room in terms of dynamic.  That’s just mY unpopular opinion

Player discipline doesn't really seem like a strong suit for pearl. Flannigan didn't have it when he was throwing punches at practice. Aden didnt seem to have any discipline with showing up high to practice. KD had his moments. Most of the players, including Broome talk back to Bruce and the refs. CBM certainly didn't have much discipline. And on top of all that, i couldnt see any visible punishments handed out for most of it. Not much holding them out or lost playing time. I dont think what I see on the court lines up with your statement.

Yes, but do you hold that over his head forever? How do you know he haven't apologized for his actions and was accountable. We don't know if he showed remorse and regret. He could of been dealing with anger issues or mental illness. He may need some tough love and for someone to show that they care. He was 17 at the time. We all need people to show us grace.

Man. Some people's desire to win can cloud an overcome anything...

We won 27 games and a championship this year. It was a successful season. No matter how much certain fans try to make it seem like it wasn’t just because we got upset vs Yale.  The most fun and exciting season we’ve had under Bruce besides the final 4 season. We absolutely obliterated teams in 26 of our 27 victories.

I’m enjoying the ride Bruce has taken us on. I don’t base the state of the program and/or season just on tourney success. That’s just one piece of the puzzle. A lot of us don’t worry about what our rival has got going on but clearly there are a small few that are obsessed and bring it up any chance they get. I’m focused on AU.  And yes perspective needs to be had because just cause we are on a really good run of sustained bball success the past several years doesn’t mean we are a great bball program. We aren’t. We have a great coach. Not a great program. And it’s never more clear than what quality of recruit we can attract with our bball nil situation even with all our championships and 25 plus win seasons since 17/18. We can compete with anyone in recruiting in the country… for 1 recruit in our class. That’s why we almost always get a 5 star and McDonald’s all American a class. After that we have to recruit within the margins and depleted nil funds. It’s also why we don’t get the splashy power 5 transfers in the nil era and go after the mid major guys. At the end of the day I’m just enjoying the ride because our bball success is still equivalent to if vandy was winning conference titles in football. It’s a miracle.

I think its ok to base the success of the season based on your view. Im not going to bash people too much for choosing to ciew it like that.

I think it's also ok, especially at this juncture of Bruce's tenure, to start to judge based on the main goal of any program that claims to be a 'top 20 program'. Success in the tourney. No one can remember who won the SEC reg season or tourney title ten years from now without looking it up. But I can name plenty of magical elite 8 and final four runs of plenty of teams. People remember the tourney cause it's thr main goal of the season.

He made his point. Over. And over. And over. It’s like we get it. It’s missionary. Just the same thing over and over every night with no change! 😂😂

I nor others even disagree with his points. It’s constant regurgitation of those points on a AU message board. Comes across as a bama bball fanboy.  He and he’s not alone admit-tingly go out of their way to praise bama bball.  AU fans don’t want to see that constantly. We are just here to have fun. Barn hard and sunshine pump for the most part. The negativity towards the bball program is completely unjustified and Un warranted. I get folks being negative about AU football. It’s warranted. Not Bruce ball.

Clearly, not everyone is here to just sunshine pump, I think therin lies some of the problem. Bruce made plenty of mistakes over the last few years that frustate many fans. He's been here like a decade, it's time to quit telling everyone to just be happy we just don't suck and actually make progress toward more sustained NCAA tourney success.

Bama made a final four the year after getting a 1 seed. They should be getting praise. Do I like it? Not really.

I am begging you to please stop defending oats and bama. Like my God we get it. I promise you we do after the 84th time. Can you really not understand as you were asking why I’m chirping at you? We are sick of the constant love being displayed on a AU message board to our rivals. FFS. It’s nauseating. I don’t know why you see the need to always defend them any chance you get. It’s like you are obsessed with complimenting them at every turn….

What @Dual-Threat Rigby is saying isn't false. He doesn't have to stop sharing his viewpoint cause you don't like facing the truth just because it's our rival.

    Can't handle critical viewpoints, still.

Grow up instead of poorly attempting to bully your viewpoint on to everyone else.

Transferring to George Mason.  Wish him nothing but the best.

This kind of confirms my thoughts that while KD was a great spark plug for energy, he wasn't a very smart or efficient basketball player. There's alot of teams between Auburn and George Mason that would have taken a flier on you, otherwise.

Classless and childish. At least you’re consistent. Can’t wait for you to finish middle school. Your behavior is worse than that you’re whining about.

I came back here just to say @GwillMac6is a claseless douchebag. Has been for a while. Glad to see he's still making friends.

@Dual-Threat Rigby, if you say something GWill disagrees with strongly enough, he takes it like he's 3 and follows you everywhere you go on the board and harasses you to feed his vendetta. I know from personal experience.

He signs on and posts "LFG babyyyyy" when auburn does well, but avoids the forum for days after a loss cause he can't handle the critical viewpoints. has the emotional intelligence of a middle schooler, like Texas said. He sounds like one of those idiot frat guys that peaked back in high school, can't get a better job than a home depot salesman, and comes on here to feel big about himself.

At UK, CBP would have a team that CBM couldn't make, except maybe as a walk-on.

That stokes the flames, and increases the pressure.  And CBP revels in pressure.

I'm worried.  Until I hear that someone other than CBP has been hired at UK, I'm worried.

Sentiment on the UK boards seems to be that their AD doesn't want to go near any coach with a hint of scandal on his resume. They say that's why he didn't push for Oats too hard (Miller scandal) and why he won't call CBP, much to the chagrin of most of their fans. We'll see how many people have to say no before Barnhart bends that rule.

  16. 2 hours ago, WillMunny said:

Yes, Drew has withdrawn.  Apparently, so have Hurley and Oats.

How many more "no" responses does the UK AD need to hear before he calls Bruce?

Make no mistake: if he calls, I think Bruce would say "yes" before even hearing the contract terms.

The longer this draws out, the closer we come to returning to the SEC cellar.

Someone (before Bruce), please say "yes".

I agree with most of what you said, except I don't think losing Bruce has to mean a return to the SEC cellar. Maybe a setback, but if Auburn can make the right hire to replace Bruce if that were to happen, we could recover and build on the foundation Bruce put in place.

I wonder how many "no" responses the UK AD must get before he calls Bruce.  Hopefully a lot, but even UK publications are calling for Bruce to be seriously considered.

I think Bruce would be crazy to turn it down if offered.  He's definitely a championship coach, but with no championships.  And he could recruit the guards to UK that he hasn't been able to recruit to AU.

I have a bad feeling about this...

UK boards are under the impression that BP should be next up after Drew. They also seem to unanimously agree that BP would jump at the opportunity, and that he wants it so bad that maybe he even takes a short term deal just to get the chance to coach there (UK arrogance?).

I'm not sure I ever got that same impression of BP's desire for UK, but I might be missing something.

Their boards seem less uniform if their AD Barnhart would accept a coach with a show cause on his resume. And half their board thinks he's a sleezy cheater.

CSP or Bucky?   Who would be the better hire based on credentials?  It shows that some on here don’t have a clue if they believe CBP should be able to decide if CSP should be the coach.

I mean, of those two choices it's not even close. You take Bucky literally 10 out of 10 times.

I think there may be better choices out there than Bucky, but I'll be honest, I'm not all that familiar with Bucky Ball outside their one game with Kansas. Auburn doesn't need to sell itself short.

I'd target KSU's Jerome Tang. I like how he recruits and gets transfers (very BP like, but recruits better guards). I'd make Dusty May at FAU say no (even after his final four run is only making $1.25M). And if there's a chance in hell we talk Todd Golden into taking over for BP, you make that hire in a hearbeat.

Still can't answer any questions huh? Ok we'll pretend we don't see what you do 😂. Don't spell it out, then you might accidentally say it

Keep carrying that grudge. I'm sure CBM will apologize to you

I dont have a grudge. And I dont need CBM's apology. If I could pick one thing to improve in this whole situation, it would be BP learning better accountability. This all really falls on him. CBM's thug behavior is just an down stream effect from that root cause. But I'm not pretending I have any effect on Auburn.
