Let's see if any bama players transfer now, 30 days if a coach leaves
I gotta wish list. Mostly OL, DL & CB including several freshmen that almost picked us last year.

I'm guessing hearing Steele's plans after retirement got him thinking and put him over the edge.

Not all
I'm hearing a high school coach. The one that got Mary M Montgomery or whatever it is called in the Mobile area back to the playoffs after years and years of losing records.

There were coaching conflicts in Tuberville and Bowden’s stints as well and probably the others surrounding those. I don’t think it’s uncommon it’s just glaring when combined with poor results on the field.
Exactly. I think the proper question worded slightly differently is When has Auburn not had a divided coaching staff?

I love this team. They remembered last year and kept landing haymakers until the end against Arkansas. Then what a scrappy win against T A&M. A younger team would probably have lost that one, but our defense, bench and free throw shooting were very good down the stretch. Kenpom and Bilas had us top 10 even before the A&M win.
I know there will be ups and downs with this team, but after the App State loss, they've been on a mission. I'm hoping for a top 3 SEC finish and a loss in one of the last 2 SEC games to get them laser focused for tourney play.

Can't wait for this game tonight. It feels like when we beat A&M, we're in for a good year in the tourneys.

Maybe we could get Bruce Pearl to manage the football portal as well.

There was some chatter about a big portal splash about to take place.
I had assumed that was AJ Harris, but that ship has sailed. Hopefully there is good news coming soon. We could really use a good OT.

Now with graphic
Finally a couple of big pickups today! Maybe not the highest rated fish in the transfer pond, but filled huge needs and ended the silence which was beginning to feel worrisome.
Now as long as we can keep all the coaches we want to keep around. 🤦♂️

Apparently not. Now that's an "I'm staying announcement"!

Favour Edwin was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning.
Word is Coen sent in his NLI but won’t announce until Friday. It’s my understanding from talking with friends we didn’t receive his NLI. Auburn simply didn’t view Coen as highly as he views himself apparently.
Ryan Williams and Dimitry Nicolas are both February signings. For me this means I’m going to turn my attention towards the 2024 Portal Thread.
Thanks for everyone joining this thread and celebrating our newest Tigers. We got some good ones and only really missed out on a handful that we wanted. Some money was saved that will be shifted to portal spending.
I expect to see the following:
1 QB to replace Robby
1 RB SHOULD Jarquez decide to enter the NFL Draft
1 more WR (outside target)
2-3 OL
1 TE
1-2 interior DL
1-3 DBs depending on who is available
Hopefully there will be some more OL transfers getting into the portal because the pickings are getting slim atm.
In terms of DB, any update on AJ Harris? It seemed like things were trending in our favor....but now crickets.

Here is a listing looks like we had some good ones in 2001, 2010-2011 - https://247sports.com/college/auburn/contentgallery/ranking-auburn-tigers-football-recruiting-classes-in-this-century-50981737/#467097
2010 is on another level given Cam Newton was in that class.
Also, I don't remember 2017 having 3 247 5-stars (only 1 in the composite); TD and Stidham must have been given a boost on 247 at the very end.

Florida's class has imploded. Hopefully Amaris Williams sees Auburn is the path forward.
4 of their top 5 commits that haven't signed are on the fence with 3 predicted elsewhere. There was a footnote that the *indicates those still deciding.

I still don't know if Pearl didn't know how to get the most out of Flan as a SG/SF with so many options on the team? if Flan wasn't back to being fully healthy? Or if Flan didn't want to be a role player? But a fresh start was probably the best thing for him.
I really liked Flan, will always root for him, and really hope he can make it to the NBA. I was shocked that he improved so much from his recruit rank through his Freshman and Soph years to the point where he was going in the 2nd round of some mock drafts pre-injury. He was playing like an Okoro-lite after Okoro left.
Regardless, I think our team is better than Ole Miss and that we'll prove it on the court.
