I think things were heading to an agreement until Trump interjected himself into this....I'm not absolving the Republicans in the House and Senate who ran scared to do his bidding, but make no mistake, it's Trump who caused this.

I really wish you would have put some of this commentary in the thread about how some Trump supporters are good and decent people. I don't know about "some" Trump supporters but I certainly know where you are on that scale.

It's a problem....but as others have stated my question is whether the Trump supporters became worse, or if they were always that way and Trump just exposed it. I know that several of the more idiotic members of my family have been that way for years, and the MAGA political movement just gave them a framework to feel like they were part of something and could speak out.
