  1. Nah, I'm definitely not a Bammer. The way you spelled that is seriously about how that fanbase and their players spell though. I give them a pass though. It's gotta be damn near impossible to type or write when every finger is being weighed down with national championship and SEC championship rings. And that's just since 1992.
  2. Roberts was unemployed for like 5 minutes and then gets hired to the same position at a bigger program. Maybe it ain't the DC's fault?
  3. Held Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss to less than 28 points but everybody points to one play. Remember the Tuberville years it was fire your coordinators and if next year is still bad, you're fired. Maybe Freeze is feeling the heat? I'll bet anything our defense is worse next year as far as ppg and that's truly the only stat that matters at the end of the day. Our fans think everything will magically turn around next year but some talented WR's and a 4 star QB from a little Arkansas school won't work miracles. We are in trouble at the real positions that matter the most.
  4. If they were so offended by Ron Roberts language then they would've turtled up and cried playing for Rodney Garner, Bill Parcells, Muschamp, Saban and about a million other coaches.
  5. So all we kept hearing was that Charles Kelly was hired to be safeties coach and co-DC. Then we kept getting told that Ron Roberts raised hell about having to be a co-DC and he still wanted to be the full DC. And now Florida has hired hired Ron Roberts to be linebackers coach and......wait for it.......CO-DC!!!!! So he supposedly doesn't want to be a co-DC and is pissed off here but he goes to Florida to be the co-DC? And it's being spun by Auburn as Hugh Freeze fired Roberts. Why did he wait and fire him nearly 6 weeks after our regular season ended? Makes no sense at all It truly sounds like Ron Roberts pulled a Derek Mason and jumped off a sinking ship. I think he left on his own because of how this program is being ran just like Derek Mason did. When all that craziness was happening with Harsin after year 1, everybody made 9 million excuses for Harsin and claimed it was all headed in the right direction but we now know it was just BS media spinning stuff so we didn't look bad. This feels exactly the same. It feels so good being more aligned from top to bottom than we've ever been and everybody's pulling in the same direction. 🙄 How about we stop hiring head coaches from Boise and Liberty for a change? Both seemed to be very overwhelmed by this job. Why can't our PTB grow a set and go hire a real coach that's actually proven something at a Power 5 program or NFL program?
  6. Charles Kelly defense had a 29 point halftime lead against a bad Stanford team and blew it and lost the game. And it was a home game also for Colorado. Colorado's defense absolutely sucked this year. Deion fired Kelly and we were his landing net. Remember last year Freeze supposedly wanted Charles Kelly as our DC but he chose Colorado instead? And now he just decides to come to Auburn after 1 year? That man was fired by Prime.
  7. No problem. I like Walker White and I really think he's a good person and will be a great ambassador for us. He really looks, plays and has a personality real similar to Tim Tebow.
  8. Hugh's first offseason is going eerily similar to Bryan Harsin's first offseason here. Both coordinators gone, bring in your buddy that's been an analyst on offense to now be QB coach and possibly our OC (Kiesau for Harsin, Austin for Hugh). Also, if McGriff's issue this year was with Ron Roberts and Hugh knew he would fire Roberts, then why didn't McGriff stay? Things just seem wonky with this football program and why can our first year head coaches not get their coordinators right the first time? Hell, they can't get just one coordinator right, much less both. Two coaches in a row that both coordinators are gone after year 1. Seems as if Auburns brass struggles to find head coaches capable of making good hires and actually running a solid program.
  9. I didn't say it was bad either. Only said it was his best year.
  10. In the All American game saturday WW had the nice TD pass that hit the WR in stride but other passes were underthrown or high and behind his receivers. Maybe just nerves but if I'm remembering correct, the best his completion % has been is 63% and it was this year. He was in the mid 50's with his completion % until this year.
  11. There have been people on this board and social media in general that kept saying that surely Freeze has told these top WR commits that a top portal QB is coming here because they just couldn't see why top WR's would come here to catch balls from Peyton Thorne or Geriner, Hank Brown and Walker White who have less than 10 reps or none at all in college. Then Freeze's interview recently he said Peyton Thorne will be just fine with better pieces around him next year and he said that also goes for Geriner and Hank too. He said the staff looks at film on every player that enters the portal but Thorne is one of the top returning Power 5 QB's in career wins and Thorne will do fine next year. He also said he doesn't want to risk losing those 3 QB's to the portal if he brought in a transfer QB. So my comment was saying that we now know that Freeze didn't get those WR's to flip to us by telling them a portal QB was coming here because he literally said Thorne, Geriner and Brown are our QB's next season in his recent interview. Those WR's chose to come here because they want to come here, not because a top QB will suddenly waltz in from the portal and save the day. It's pretty clear what my post said so I'm not sure what your issue is with it. I can't make it any clearer.
  12. Many thought a top portal QB was coming here and that's how Hugh sold Coleman, Thompson, Cain and Simmons to come here as top WR's but we now see that's not true. My guess is that he showed those guys what Thorne did in 2021, going 11-2 with great skill position talent around him and that he can do that again if they sign with AU. Great sales job by Freeze if they all sign this wednesday.
  13. This was always the talk surrounding Thorne when he came here. Michigan State boards said he was fine in 2021 when he had an NFL WR and RB. Thorne went 11-2 that year. When he lost those 2 key players to the draft after 2021, he finished 5-7 the next season and that was with Keon Coleman as his #1 option at WR. Coleman is a stud as he showed this year at Florida State. I know that Thorne was banged up during the 2022 season but he was still healthy enough to start every game. He is a game manager that can get you to 10+ wins when you put NFL talent around him at the skill positions. When you have to flip your roster last minute with portal players like Hugh had to when he took the job, Thorne is a 6-6 QB.
  14. As long as that Ferrari doesn't end up in the hands of anyone in the Georgia Bulldogs football program then we're all safe.
