I agree. I mean, can you name any other coach that has called the season a “throwaway season”, that this roster is basically hopeless and that instead of preparing the team he’s just going to spend his time recruiting? There may have been other coaches who privately felt this way, but have you ever seen another coach publicly admit it?

I agree, this kid can make something happen when a play breaks down. Got great skills with his arm and his feet.

Freeze recruited Salter to Liberty, not sure if Freeze would reach out to him or would wait for a bigger name.

Yep. If last night’s Mich/bama game doesn’t show us that games are won and lost in the trenches then nothing will.

I’ve been just as concerned lately with our punt returning skills, or lack thereof.

I wanted us to pursue Ward when he transferred from Incarnate Word. I won’t get my hopes up, but would be thrilled if we could snag him.

Exactly. Why is it that we have to have a great recruiting class OR we can have a team that looks prepared for a football game but we can’t have both because….?

2-8 is our record for our last 10 bowl appearances. When I saw that I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Betting odds are based on who the oddsmakers think the betting public will wager on close to a 50/50 split.  They don’t care who wins or loses or by how much.  They want the action to be evenly split so they can make their money on the vig.  

I guess that’s why I don’t bet. 😂 I always thought the team favored to win was the team, you know, favored to win. I also thought when sports heads are overwhelmingly picking a team to win then that is the team that “should” win the game.

ESD was 10 days ago. I know he’s still recruiting but not at the level he was leading up to ESD. Are some of you saying he’s still so busy with recruiting he couldn’t spend any of these past 10 days prepping for the bowl game?

Upsets do happen, they happen every week in football. Your original statement was that there was no way we were winning that game with Thorne as our quarterback. I was simply saying that many others felt we were going to win or at the very least had a good shot at winning.
