AuburnArch13 185
The article was spot on until he talked about Oklahoma and Notre Dame. Sure Oklahoma hasn't lived up to its lofty expectations recently, but when those expectations are "go undefeated and win the national championship" it's not hard to underachieve. They have 4 NCG appearances and 1 NC in the last 11 years, so I'll give them a pass. As for the Irish, they still command a disproportionately large amount of media coverage for a team that hasn't done anything other than that slightly above average year under Brady Quin (at least before the were exposed by LSU who took them behind the woodshed). Also, ND's national championship under Lou Holtz was as big of a stinking joke as BYU's 1985 National championship. After both of those teams got by their games with The Little Sisters of the Poor and the Southeast YMCA, all they had left on their schedules were cupcakes. Hey, give their schedule a little bit of credit. The Helen Keller School for the Deaf and the Blind put a pretty good team on the field that year... The sad thing about ND is that since that season they have sorried down their schedule even more.
