Far fetched Prediction Thread

WarDamn2010

Recommended Posts

We had a thread similar to this at AE and it was pretty fun, especially after the season. I saw that this site has a "mark my word" thread, but those are all things that very well could, or almost should, happen. The rules of this thread are to name a) 3 things about Auburn, and B) name up to 5 things about any team that aren't supposed to happen but think they very well could. I'll start:

Auburn:

1) We finish 3rd in the SEC, second in the west.

2) LSU loses to bama...and Auburn

3) 2 of our running backs have 1,000 yard seasons- Tre and OMac

NCAA

1) Matt Barkley doesn't win the heisman.

2) No SEC school plays for the national title.

3) A defensive player wins the heisman trophy.

4) Boise State is barely bowl eligible at season's end.

5) Gene Chizik finally gets recognized, by ESPN, as a good coach :hellyeah:

Auburn

1. By mid season Keihl is playing so well that a (bama, uga, lsu, gator, msu) fan starts a rumor that he was paid and everyone in the country, who isn't an Auburn fan, believes it.

2. Will have the most feared kicking unit in the country.

3. Will set an SEC record for sacks in a season.

NCAA

1. USC will win the National Championship only to have it stripped months later after the NCAA gets a look at what Kiffen's been up to while they've been out of the spotlight.

2. Florida State will, once again, make all of the talking heads on ESPN look like idiots, by massively under-performing.

3. Missouri and Texas A&M will learn a hard lesson by both having losing records against SEC opponents.

4. Charlie Weis will finally strike gold as Kansas wins the Big 12 on the back of all of the transfers he picked up.

5. At least one team will refuse to play Penn State.

Auburn:

1: Emory Blake emerges as #1 WR in the nation

2: Lutzenkirchen has such an explosive year he gets drafted in the first round

3.Jay Prosch gets at least 1 long rushing touchdown (20 yards or so)

4.Auburn finishes second in the SEC West (to Arkansas)

NCAA:

1:Michigan makes Alabama's young inexperienced defense look stupid, thus proving even illegal recruiting can not allow you to "reload" every year

2:Wisconsin having a solid team and EASY schedule finishes the season undefeated

3:Gus Malzhan having beaten oregon before keeps Arkansas state within a touchdown of the explosive ducks

4:Missouri wins an easy SEC East schedule

5:Alabama is put under investigation for suspicious recruiting (Landon Collins, T.J. Yeldon, Cyrus Kouandijo(sp), and the kid this year that was told if he transfered to a school in Alabama "they would take care of him")

6.Georgia doesn't live up to its expectations again

We beat either bama or LSU (possibly both)

Our D finishes in the top 15 in the nation.

FSU does not win the ACC

The ACC loses their BCS Bowl game (shocker)

Vandy has back-to-back winning seasons. (first time since the 70's)
