ESPN obviously doesn't understand the power of Dodge Chargers, rims and free suits.

I don't understand how they arrived at UGA above Texas. Based on the factors they ranked, what is one category in which UGA is superior?

Agree but hard to see how they ranked most of those schools anyway. It seems to me that the appeal of any particular school depends on it's regional reputation.

It's easier to recruit if you are the State Name university, are located in or close to a HS hotbed for football and don't have academic standards out of range with your neighbors. That makes it look easy to some folks because the schools always have a top 10 or 15 rated recruiting class.

As to how UGa got rated easier than Bama or Florida or Texas.....who know?

I'm going to guess that it's "other intangibles", i.e. the fact that Texas has been a dumpster fire for a few years while, A&M (until recently), Houston, Baylor, etc have been rocking.

This is why UGA let Richt go. Can get all the players to go there, play in a weak division, still can't win titles

To some extent that is true but a good part of the state is closer to Clemson, Auburn and Florida State than to Athens.....and as a group, those schools pull a tremendous amount of talent out of the state. It's possible that Smart may make better use of the talent than Richt did but I doubt he will recruit any better.....though he could also be more lucky about not getting his top RB hurt about every year.
