OlderWhiskey 977
I'm very impressed with the work that 2d year HC Courtney Deifel has done in Fayetteville. The 'Backs have gone from 1-23 in the league two years ago to 8-7 this year, including a series win over uat last weekend. Their freshman pitcher Mary Haff is leading the league in wins with 20. In Sunday's game against Alabama, Arkansas got 9 hits off Osorio in their 6-3 win. They are just 3 slots behind us in RPI, and stand a good chance of hosting a regional. In short, we will have a challenge to win the series.
slot canyon 1,346
Two years ago we swept them by major margins. We will have to fight tooth and nail this weekend. Did not realize their freshman pitcher has been so effective. Surprised as of a couple of hours ago the Sunday game not moved to a Saturday double header. Looks like major rain expected on Sunday. all4AU 379
There is a very good chance that the team who wins the series will host ahead of the series loser. It could be the difference in a 13 or 14 seed or even worse, a 16 seed (host) or having to travel as a 2 seed in a regional. We desperately need 2 of 3 this weekend, and they need to do whatever it takes to play game 3. Sounds like Saturday DH is the best option.
