DKW 86 7,440
Link-bodda-bink It may not matter what happens to the top four BCS teams if No. 5 Alabama doesn't rediscover the road to the end zone. In eight quarters without Tyrone Prothro, Alabama has one touchdown. Field goals may beat Ole Miss and Tennessee, but Ole Miss and Tennessee may be the two worst offenses in the entire SEC. Field goals alone will not beat LSU and Auburn. Unless it's Auburn kicking them and missing them and beating itself. Auburn should be kicking itself - and patting itself on the back - after losing in overtime to LSU. If you run for more yards and pass for more yards than LSU and you don't turn the ball over at LSU, you should beat LSU. Auburn didn't, but Auburn shouldn't beat itself up for long. Not after standing toe-to-toe for 15 rounds plus one with the most talented team and combustible crowd in the league. Not after watching Kenny Irons become the first Tiger to rush for 200 yards in a game since Carnell Williams and the first to go for 400 yards in two games since Bo Jackson. Away from home, yet. Just call Irons ``The Roadrunner." On their current path, the Tigers are headed for a once-in-a-lifetime shot times two. How many teams have a chance to knock off undefeated rivals on back-to-back November weekends? How many are good enough to do it? Until then, there's not much to separate 7-0 Alabama and 5-2 Auburn besides big moments seized and big opportunities lost.
Tigermike 3,053
In eight quarters without Tyrone Prothro, Alabama has one touchdown. Just think, many of the Bama fans said they would not miss Tyrone too much on offense, but only on special teams.
