16 games against top 10 teams?

That must be wrong when the most any other team has is 12 and we ALWAYS play the EASIEST schedule, and everyone knows it is our schedule that holds us back from moving up in the rankings.

Thanks!

Id be willing to bet Bama's 30-19 mark over the same stretch would put them at or near the top 25. Which is amazing considering all they went through during that time.

From 2002-2005, Alabama is 41st in the country with a 30-20 record. Of course, more than half of their losses have come to teams with at least 10-wins or better. Many of those losses were close ball games. Six of Alabama's losses were in either in OT or by 7 pts or less.

Tim,

I realize it can be fun to kick Bama when they are down but my actual intent was to praise Tuberville and Auburn.

From 1999-2001, Auburn was 43rd in the country with a 21-15-0 record and 1-8 against teams with a win pct of .750 or 9-3 record.

Over the last 4 years, we now have the 10th best win pct in the country and are 9-8 against teams with a .750 record. This is impressive when you consider that Jordan was 16-37-1, Barfield was 1-10-1. Dye was 14-23-3 and Bowden was 7-13-0.

After posting his first 10-win season, it will be interesting if Shula can maintain his success from 2005. To his credit, they have improved every year he's been there but it might be difficult to post another 10-win season in 2006.

Stat, id be really shocked if we win 10 this year breaking in a new QB. I dont expect us to take a dive but i also dont expect us to lose a bunch of games either.

I think we win the ones we should and maybe one we shouldnt. 9-3 with another cotton bowl type appearance.

Id be more than happy with that considering the leadership we lost.

Stat,

I understand fully that you were pointing out the Success of Coach Tuberville and the AU Tigers. I just think it is funny that some people must jump to the defense of the "team" in west vance even when they were not mentioned. :D

Thanks again Stat. You are the Stat "KING". :au::cheer:

I couldn't help but notice that difference in games played as well. Obviously, CTT, the "Riverboat Gambler", is no coward!

How about the way ESPN always hypes Fresno State as "giant" killers and how they always say, "Anyone, anytime and anywhere" or something like that? From 2002-2005, Fresno State is 1-8 against teams with 10-wins or more and their lone victory came against a 10-4 Colorado State team. Their average loss is by 17.5 pts.
