The majority of fans have never played football so they really don't have a clue how difficult the sport is. As a former player, one comment that really annoys me is when people say "it's just a game, what's the big deal" or "football players are a bunch of dumb meatheads". Football is a great parellel to life and all the ups and downs that come with it. Football is a family for many players who don't have a real family off the field. Football challenges the mind, body, and spirit. Football is a business. Football brings people together unlike any other sport in America. Football is tremedous pride in who you are and who you represent. No football is not just a simple game. Football is life. Tre Smith busts his a** on and off the field and has for five years. He can say what he wants because he has earned his stripes.

Geeeeez, why I am not surprised to find this (still) at the top of the board this morning. Here, we're only 10 hours away from the kickoff of a game of momentous significance to , and the topic of conversation is some trivial, off-hand comment by a backup player.

If Tre is worried about what the fans think or do , then this game is already over. Florida has won before they've even walked onto the field.

Florida has twice been down by 10 pts, and come back to win. Tre thinks we'd quit on the team if they were ONLY a few points down? Tre's 13 yrs at Auburn certainly haven't taught him much at all then. If Auburn's still in a game, you can bet the fans are right there with them. If they roll over and play dead like was done w/ Arkansas AGAIN, then what are the fans suppose to do? They bought tickets to see Auburn FOOTBALL. What we saw last Sat vs Arkansas wasn't what anyone expected. Not by a long shot.
