Ahhh, memories. I think mine was the EXACT same as AUTim's. I wanted to add Chris Shilling to the DBs, but he was not a choice. Man he could put a lick on some receivers, and returned a few picks as well.
AUloggerhead 2,253
I'll make things simple: just give me the entire 2004 team. WDE
kickerman97 3
Mine were the same as AUTims as well, with the exception of Dansby and Takeo at LB. Loved to watch them. WDE
OlderWhiskey 963
Some very, very, tough choices. Going on Iron Bowls alone, I had Bo and Stacy Danley, who always seemed to turn into something extraterrestrial against uat. Receivers, had to have Beasley and Tillman. QB a tough choice: Had to go with Sullivan because of the come-from-behind victories, including the freshman game in '68, when we won after trailing 27-0. Slack probably #2, but Burger and Campbell also highly qualified. Went with both kickers from the '72 game. Jett hit the 43-yard field goal, plus both PATs, which proved to be crucial in our first win in 9 years. Beverly had to punt successfully after we had blocked two of uat's; plus, I knew the guy personally. No argument against those who picked others, especially Holmes or Etheridge. I am not sure why Chip Powell is on the list, can anyone say? Simpson caused and recovered a fumble which led directly to the 1963 victory. Lorino and Burkett both had interception returns for TDs in the 40-0 victory in 1957. Fun stuff.
