Kansas 48 - Nebraska 21 in the 2nd quarter.

Who says the Pac 10 is the only conference that has no defense?

69-31 now...still 3:00 to go in the 3rd quarter.

Callahan is so completely fired...he and Franchione can save some $$ on the job hunt by car-pooling.

Callahan may not finish the season at this point.

Yes, to answer both of your questions.

Nebraska's defense is horrible.

Our defense flat out sucks this year. For whatever reason, the coaches have lost the players confidence and have absolutely no earthly idea how to get it back. There is no fire or emotion in these players. All of Husker Nation is anxiously awaiting the day after our Colorado game so we can enthusiastically hear the words "Callahan has been fired" after which the entire Nation will hear a collective "It's about damn time!" ring out loud from Husker-ville. This is by far THE worst Husker defense in the history of the program.

The one bright side to this game is Maurice Purify FINALLY had the type of game he's capable of having. His one handed catch in the endzone was awesome! The fans always new he was a big-time playmaker but he was never given the chance to use his size or skill. In addition, Ganz played phenomenal despite his 4 INT's. Some in Husker Nation are wondering why he hasn't been the starter since day one. And Marlon Lucky eclipsed Johnny Rodgers' record for receptions with 61 receptions so far and now owns the single-season and career records for receiving yards by a Husker back, with 512 and 898, respectively. Jeff Kinney previously held both. All of which are nothing more than moral victories at this point. <_<
