AURaptor 1,126
Ahhh....the transgressions of a man in his youth. *sigh* With age, clearly came wisdom. And yes, we definatly miss Ronnie.
otterinbham 0
Well, he publicly recanted. I think everybody makes foolish decisions in their youth, before the world teaches them the way of light and truth. After all, TT, the day will come for you, too. LOL That being said, Truman was a very good president. When you realize the scope of the problems he had to tackle, from rebuilding Europe to developing a counterweight to the Soviet Union, he did an outstanding job. My only wish for the man is that he had begun rescinding some of FDR's more radical programs and his punitive tax structure. Those really hurt capital investment in this country during the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
MDM4AU 336
Thirty years ago, I was a Republican leaning independent. My views haven't changed dramatically, but the Republican party certainly has. Things change from time to time...

Ranger12 46
Tex, the democratic party has changed dramatically more if you ask me. This democratic party is not John F. Kennedy's party.
TexasTiger 13,029
Tex, the democratic party has changed dramatically more if you ask me. This democratic party is not John F. Kennedy's party. Listen to the whole thing. His message is to the left of most Dems today.
