Arriola cracks home a shot on the rebound of a Pulisic shot. Kljestan making way for Stanko. Pulisic will be going the distance in his first start.

Guatemala crushing St. Vincent and the Grenadines 8-2. Were we losing by 6, Guatemala would advance.

Was a good win last night.  For the most part, it was a solid game at worst for everyone.  A couple weeks of guys had pedestrian games but some were stellar.

get Mexico at home while everyone is in form this year.

Yep. Nice to get them in the states. only way it could have been better is if they had somehow managed to get the game in Seattle, but this will be a good start to get out on the front foot. Going to need it if we want to win the Hex

Pulisic is tearing it up in the Bundesliga. Bundesliga POTW for match day 3.

Wood has 2 goals on the season for poor Hamburg SV, good enough to currently tie him for fourth in the league.

Nice to see our young'uns off to a good start across the pond.

Warm up friendly before we enter the Hex. New Zealand in DC. Lot of younger, less frequently featured players tonight.

433

Yarborough

Orozco-Gonzalez-Besler-Acosta

Bradley-Kitchen-Kljestan

Yedlin-Altidore-Green

Odd decision to play Yedlin up front on the right wing, but, if you're going to experiment, now's the time to do it.

Not sure about Yarborough. Looks nervous and spilled a shot from 20 yards he should have reeled in. Luckily the kiwi striker that collected the rebound was offside. We look a bit off overall. Sloppy. New Zealand pressing early.

Julian Green gives us the lead in the 26th against the run of play.

Overall Was not a pretty game.  Had some positive play in the last 30 min of first half.

thought klejsten and green were the standouts.  I thought altidore was absolutely horrible outside of being a target up front for the long ball but rarely did anything come from it.  At the times he wasn't pissing and moaning about something (sometimes it was actually warranted) he was being a sourpuss and a few times he didn't pass to klejsten when he had runs on goal ... I swear a couple times it seemed almost cynical and purposeful.

i like klinny but can't for the life of me understand why he insists on playing guys outside of the positions they spend 10 months a year playing.

All in all it was uninspiring in the second half and the entire game for a few players.  I liked kitchens but he was having a hard time finding the game.  Almost like Bradley wouldn't leave him alone and let him play the 6.

gooch was a blast to watch.  Wonder if he can play like that for a full 90.  The thought of him, pulisic, wood and klejsten up front would be fun ... well then you've got green, nagbe, etc.

really are finally developing some good depth.  Now just need to improve as a team and find an identity.

It was a meh game, but with a lineup that experimental that's not entirely shocking.

Curious to see the changes with Klinnsmen out.  Does landon return? I want to continue to see pulisic as the 10. We still need to build a world player for the future.

Going 0/2 to open the hex will get you fired. Tough break. Bring on Bruce Arena.

Hope not. He's done. Let the young guys in the lineup and get experience. They have the talent to win games, they just need to be in position to do so.

US takes the lead early 5th minute from Lleget. Jozy found Pulisic on a nice through ball attacking the left post. Pulisic's shot is turned by the keeper, but not well enough and Lleget cleans it up on the back post. 1-0 currently 9th minute.

Lleget was hurt on a bad tackle that earned the game's first yellow for the Hondurans. Bedoya coming on 17th minute.

This field is slick too.

Cameron earns a yellow on a rather light foul. Ref probably just trying to even yellow cards up.  Stepped on a boot on the way by. Oops. Try beamed right at Howard who has no trouble with it.

Bradley with a goal in the 28th! Left footed from just outside of the box at the left post to the right post. Keeper caught out of position. Likely Jozy blocked his line of sight.

Honduras just forgot to challenge Bradley as he brought it in.
