I had a feeling that he'd commit soon after seeing the Clemson/bama game. I wouldn't be shocked to see Brandon Moore commit to uat as well.

Its the process folks, you are seeing it in action.

What is this process that you speak of? The fact that a prospect was a big fan of the school that he commited to? So, has there been any word on his Mother's health.....I hate it for the young man. I have a feeling that Nico is going through so much right now and with phone calls raining in from Coaches everywhere, that was probably one of the reasons why he wanted to basically get this over with and commit to the team that he's pulled for a while now. I feel that Nico is the type of Middle Linebacker that every Coach would Love to have.

Why?? Are there character issues? :poke:

so let me get this straight...

Nico's commitment should not be a shocker because he grew up a bama fan... but..

that did not stop AU in the past signing people who grew up bama fans.. I thought I've heard people over here saying that Cox, obamanu, either caddy/ronnie and maybe others.. actually grew up cheering for the tide..

I know that people over here do not want to see this as any change in Bama and the whole pre-Saban to post-Saban time.. and at the same time..

I know that people over here do not want to link AU's dominance with UA's probation.. but something is not clicking in the whole.. he signed up because he grew up a bama fan logic..

1982 - 9-3

1983 - 11-1

1984 - 9-4

1985 - 8-4

1986 - 10-2

1987- 9-1-2

1988 - 10-2

1989 - 10-2

1990 - 8-3-1

1991 - 5-6

1992 - 5-5-1

1993 - 11-0 (AU on probation)

1994 - 9-1-1 (Au on probation)

1995 - 8-4

1996 - 8-4

1997 - 10-3

1998 - 3-8

1999 - 5-6

2000 - 9-4

2001 - 7-5

2002 - 9-4

2003 - 8-5

2004 - 13-0

2005 - 9-3

2006 - 11-2

2007 - 9-4

Please look at those records.

1. The years Auburn had to deal with probation, they went undefeated and lost 1 game. The "aftermath" of the probabtion led to two 8-4 records and a 10-3 record.

2. How many of those seasons was Alabama on probation? According to your logic, the only times Bama wasn't on probation were 1992, 1993, 1998, and 1999. If I'm not mistaken, that's not entirely true, right?

So, to say that Auburn's dominance relies on Bama being on probation isn't remotely correct.

i've never hung my hat on the whole probation thing, but to be fair, the probation AU faced was a little different and less lengthy than the one UA faced.

You are, however, discounting the times prior to 1982, when Bamar cheated and Auburn went on probation.... :poke:
