Here’s the thing. Putting Moore back to field the punt (AND NOT EVEN KNOWING IT WTF) and only rushing 2 are two massive coaching mistakes that need to be placed directly at the feet of this coaching staff, period. Hugh absolutely should face the heat about those absolute blunders, and he should know that. I mean, pay me millions of dollars and I can lose to UGA, UA, LSU and NMSU too. Hell, I’d even do it for half the price. I know, first year growing pains, Saban went 6-6 his first year too, moral victories, blah blah blah. No. Not good enough. Hugh better bring in a God-tier recruiting class this year and make some serious changes and improvements to his in-game coaching decisions (and get some better coordinators while he’s at it), or he’ll just be the latest pile of dust bunnies on this dustbin decade of Auburn football. We have to do better than this. We all know that we can do better than this.

The QB carousel is a curse that has lived on for over a decade now. It struck us again here and needs to end.

As a father of a young daughter, I’m embarrassed to call myself an Auburn alumnus and supporter. This university is supposed to be better than this.

Beating uat = bad, roger that

As I mentioned in another thread too, he’s also got experience beating uat on top of all that, as Utah’s QB in the 2009 Sugar Bowl. That certainly doesn’t hurt.

Completely agree. We’ve had a month+ head start on all these other schools, and my F5ing has not given me actual news yet.

Johnson’s experience as a coach is excellent and speaks for itself, but I’d be lying if him beating uat in the 2009 Sugar Bowl as Utah’s QB didn’t give him an extra leg up on other names for me too.

Despite the off-the-field issues, Ed Orgeron directly proves this point wrong. What a silly hill to die on.
