If anyone has read into the particulars of the class-action lawsuit House vs NCAA, it is estimated that a settlement will be worked out between both parties, a judge has already hinted that the NCAA (and its member institutions) will be slapped in the face with a +$4Billion lawsuit for backpay to former athletes.  That's a pretty sizeable chunk of money that will be coming out of every NCAA program's pocket to pay former athletes who never got the NIL windfall who want their share of the pie.

This class-action lawsuit is what has suddenly spurred the NCAA & school presidents to clamor around in Dallas trying to come up with a settlement figure for the backpay to former athletes AND devise a workable plan for the future of college athletics.

The stubborn old jackasses kicked the can down the road and acted greedy for far too long, then the lawsuits and courts took control and the whole shebang has blown up in their faces.

    Thank you kind sir

  2. Fantastic, all the money being made needs to have eyes on it and needs to be distributed fairly and correctly. There was no reason majority of profits to be going to some old out of shape men who are already wealthy, sitting in a suite watching other people almost kill themselves to make them more money.

That'd be so cool for you!  I'd definitely drive over when y'all play the Spurs

So one super cool thing that sounds like I'm bragging, and maybe I am a little, but now EVERYBODY compares him to Jalen brunson and I said that a while ago.

But anyway I feel like the better brunson plays the more it opens up doors, and brunson is absolutely killing right now. I cheer for him as if He's Mark lol

I don’t require an invitation to any thread on this forum. Grow up. lol.

Ok. As usual nice talk where you pretend to be a victim. See you next month lol

You’re childish in the extreme. You not man enough to talk to me. You make an obvious insult, but not directly. If you insist on posting the same moronic crap at every opportunity, folks may respond. Even those you don’t like. Your options are to 1) don’t post at all; 2) truly ignore me, not just taking indirect swipes. Lol. Lol.

No you actually did that. You threw the first insult but ok cool you spoke and nobody cares, now you can just go away. You don't have to interject into a convo that nobody asked you to join.

Lol at man enough to talk to you.... You Internet warriors. You are too old for that. We both know that's nothing you would say outside of your avatar let's be serious

Lol ok. Good thing I wasn't ever talking to you in the first place. Shouldn't be any problem with you stopping your obsession and just STFU since NOBODY talks to you in the first place lol

    Just to play devils advocate here;

He's also a guy that was a legacy 3 year starter, job in 0 jeopardy, had NIL deals and 4th year starter locked up. Then saw things being kinda sucky with the new HC hire and just said "F Auburn, I'm out"

Don't get me wrong, I understand why he did it, I can appreciate why he did it. His college path to the NFL got much easier after leaving, and Auburn undoubtedly fielded a crappier offense without him.

But as a fan, the proven starters that said screw this I'm gone; hurts.

Nah he can't see or understand. Did you see him in any of other threads caping. One thing I've learned on here, you are going to piss a certain group off when you speak on treating people equally. They hate that

I see what you did there

Does make me wonder though, how many 1st round draft picks, of any position have transferred out of Auburn?

You see how stupid that is. As if we are really talking about he started getting the privilege poor Bo stuff and he was a first round pick then...... Moronic thought process, but anything than to admit hey maybe we should treat all the kids like humans lol

Like others have stated above we need these guys to come back who aren’t going to be early round selections if they have eligibility still to make our squad as talented as possible.

You either want talented guys or you don't. The interest should be invested in the player most importantly. If you want guys that are going to keep coming back then you probably want low rated guys who didn't produce a bunch. If you have a d tackle that get first team SEC and producing 7 sacks from the d tackle spot you probably going to have a guy that will leave.

More than likely once they are at least a junior you aren't going to have a guy be first team and then say I love Auburn so much I'm going to risk it all and come back again just for the hell of it

IMO , outside of getting drafted a little higher this is a deal for Harris. Going to a team like the Texan that’s on the rise with a defensive minded coach. Now it’s up to him. Hard to compare the NBA draft to the NFL as u have a much deeper pool in the NFL

That's amazing I was thinking Texans or Detroit or maybe Steelers would be good for him.

I remember a bunch of these situations at the end of games.

I remember saying at the end of these games:  Their guards were just better than ours at the in the last 5 minutes of the game when it really counted.

I also pointed this out. Wendell would have done better if he had worked on actually being a point.

That was with all of our guards, I posted over and over if they actually would have tried to set each other up for good shots and worked on actually passing the ball we would have been so much better. Nobody wanted to actually be a point though, everybody wanted to be a shooting guard.

That and none of our guards were good at dribbling with their weak hand..... And that was mind boggling to me. At the end of games teams would play them to their dominant hands and they would be taken out of the game by the opposing teams.

I pointed it out even in games we won, that's how I knew we didn't have a chance in the tourney.

He was first team All-Sec, there’s a good chance he’s at his ceiling as is. At a minimum he’s got a shot and now it’s up to him to make it or not. I don’t think I’d have disagreed with any decision he made on this one.

Yes. He wasn't going to come back and do anything greater statistically that he already put up. The thing holding him back as far as draft is his size. He's not going to get bigger without losing his quickness.

At least now he can pick the team he wants to go for. I think he should go to a team that runs a 3-4 and see what he can do as a d end. I think he can be a major steal if that plays out.

Just for some perspective, Yahoo Sports graded Denver's draft a "D" because of the Nix pick at #12.  They don't completely dislike Nix, but they thought #12 was way too high to draft him.  Of course, from Denver's perspective, they cut Russel Wilson loose and had to immediately get a QB somehow.  If this pick turns out bad, no one will remember it all started by investing too much in an aging Russel Wilson, prompting the gamble on Nix to try and erase the Wilson mistake.

2024 NFL Draft grades: Denver Broncos earn one of our lowest grades mostly due to one pick (yahoo.com)

Cam Newton said when things are going well for Bo, he's one of the best QBs out there, he said on the other end when Bo has any adversity it's the opposite, he's one of the most horrible QBs. I remember saying something similar to that.

I'm not a Denver fan, so I don't know what all they have and don't have, but in my mind as far as the NFL go nothing is going to be perfect.

I know for a fact though I spoke on when we play teams that we are clearly better than, Bo would look amazing. But when it was time to play a team equal or better..... Horrible. Pretty much from what I saw when we played and the HB was averaging 5 yards a run we were going to win. As soon as it was we couldn't run and it was dependent on Bo to run the offense..... We looked like a pop warner team.

Good for him. Will say he has a steep learning curve ahead of himself as the offense at Oregon hardly asked him to learn reads and progression. Hope they are willing to be patient with him.

It's crazy to me nobody wants to discuss the system, crazy but not surprising.

We will get to see now, this is literally the best situation he could have been in, Peyton tried to make tayson Hill a QB.

I don't even bother discussing it with him anymore lol. I can both begin and end a post with simply saying that I'm giving what feels like unbiased analysis on Alabama, and he seems to only be capable of reading "pro Alabama post means you're a Bammer". If that's how people feel, I let them feel like that. I don't see why I would bother posting on an Auburn forum for over a decade if I was an Alabama fan, BUT

Going at you for being objective and speaking factually as opposed to fan boying and making up stuff is hilarious.... But not surprising. Welcome to the club!

O and for the record Bruce has had plenty of a track record of developing guards. Who’s the 2 players with the most 3 pointers in sec history!? Oh yah!! 2 Bruce pearl guards! Chris Lofton and Bryce Brown. Bruce has been developing and had good guard play since Nate oats was still a high school math teacher. I’m so sick of this narrative that Bruce doesn’t have successful guards. FFS Wendell Green even was all sec for him. Jared Harper was 2 time all sec. Okoro who played the 2 and 3 in Bruce’s system depending on the personel on the court was a top 5 nba draft pick. Samir who played mainly guard his senior year was our first first team all sec player since Marquis Daniel’s…

Being a system player and actually developing a skill set to be a guard are two different things

Yes as will anyone who switches to our most hated rival. Would you expect anything less? You don’t think if Bo had switched to Bammer it wouldn’t have been moved to the Rivals thread and be wouldn’t have been absolutely shredded on this board? Nowhere near the same situation.

Notice the Tre Donaldson thread was not moved. Perfect example. Transfer to Michigan not the same as to Updyke U.

Man come on, every other football player moved to rivals. They literally moved gatewood then brought it back here to celebrate when he lost a game then moved it back to rivals.

What about TJ, Robby those are football. Those are QBs. I can't believe some of you pretend that Bo isn't treated differently on this board than any other player.

Just to point out how much Harsin destroyed this roster… We’re at the end of round 4 and no Auburn players have been drafted.  NO, ZERO, NONE. The university of British Columbia has had a player drafted, and we’ve not had a single player go.

I don't think all of that is on Harsin

we crossed swords a lot back in the day and i am sure i started most of it but even without the cancer info you are still gold. i am a fan.

I really mean what I say, sure we may disagree some football stuff, but I'm not going to carry that and dislike you as a person because you disagree on if a QB or wr or coach is good or not. I usually forget little arguments that same day. I wish more people on here could do that, they pretend they can but they can't. Disagree with them and they hate you for it. My best friends on here has all disagreed with me before. To me it's not personal.

There are a few exceptions though, I have around 3 guys that crossed a line with me, and I still don't stalk them or anything I just dislike them and prefer not to interact,

This last thing they did with kicking me out the premium board stuff without cause or explanation while allowing guys to call me out of my name and say racial stuff without them getting reprimanded at all was quite informative as far as where leadership on this board stands.... But even that just proved me right imo in what I've always said.

But even with that I'm talking what? Maybe around 7-10 guys? Majority I don't have any problems with people that disagree, way I look at it real friends are the people that will be in your corner even if they don't agree with you, people only wanting to be around because you say the things they want to hear probably aren't your friends.

There wasn't an argument between me and you that would make me not support you going thru something like a cancer scare, especially something that I had walked myself and I know I could help. Wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror if I was that type of person.

Preciate all the kind words, I'll definitely take them when I can get them on here 😂
