I'm glad to see you post about this. When I coached, we had four reasons for running certain plays. What you do best. What the defense doesn't do well. A play that sets up another play. A play set up by a previous play. Gus seems to just close his eyes and put his finger on his play card and calls that play. No rhythm at all in his play calling.

Coach, I think I saw a lot of the same things you saw. I am not sure Gus's play calling got a lot better later though. Part of my complaints since Gus has been here is the personnel, formation and motions sometimes dictate the play called. Many times I can call the play by those. So I'm positive that DCs who know much more than me can prepare the defense for that. Otherwise, your analysis is spot on.

The BP actually did OK this weekend against the Dodgers, who I thought would destroy the BP.

I started a new job today. It's in the same industry I have been in for 42 years but NO MORE TRAVELING 3-5 days per week. I'll be home every night. I won't know how to act without living in hotels. Along with being home I'm getting equal pay and better benefits.

Well, it was dark because it was night. It got kind of murky because of the fires and smoke. I thought it was good filmmaking. How many times have we watched movies where it is set at night and you can see everything? I don't know where you are from but where I'm from when it is night time it is dark.
