  1. Good stuff @aubiefifty thanks for all you do for us here
  2. In Mondays presser, CHF seemed to say that the QB's are having a hard time with where their eyes are supposed to be and there was something else he touched on I can't remember. I took it as they are either struggling with RPO's or reading the defense and where to look Pre-snap. Either way, much different than throwing to a guy with no DB or DL to look at. And knows specifically where his receiver is going or going to be. Thats my take anyway.
  3. Nice! Kid is deceptively fast. Looks slow actually on Hudl but I think its just because he has such a long stride, when he gets past the LB's he's hard to catch. Would be great in the slot as well. Also those WR's did awesome at blocking and staying on their blocks. Refreshing to see.
  4. Nick Marshall is the total package that I want in a college QB for me personally. Sure his accuracy wasn't NFL caliber, but his other tangibles seemed to make up for it. Like he had such a good feel for the pocket it was almost surreal to watch him work his magic. If we could have had him for 4 full years there is no telling what all records he would have broken. And if I'm not mistaken he is very similar to RA in that he didn't have a lot of experience at QB in college until he came to AU. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  5. I went back and watched both clips again and honestly didn't see anything RA did that Nick didn't do multiple times but I'm not a college coach either so I will eat crow if needed. However, I will give RA props all day long for his effort. It takes some real internal fortitude to come into the SEC and go up against the teams in the best conference and in the strongest division of that conference with little to no experience at QB position in college. He definitely has the "want to".
  6. There's a reason there are only 9 throws in this clip...... just messing with you! lol
  7. I think im going back to watching my paint dry....
  8. I'm no recruiter but this kid is a sleeper IMHO. Excited about this one if it works out.
  9. I'm not totally disagreeing with you at all. Harsin, definitely a failure. Every coach since Dye won big games at first then the program eroded slowly afterwards and flamed out. Tubs may be the exception to that statement but he never really took AU Football to another level when it seemed like he was right on the edge of getting us there. Enter Saban and the REC and he folded. I think the true identity of a great coach is a sustained high level of winning games, recruiting well, finding diamonds in the rough so to speak as far as recruits and coaching them up to a point that they end up in the NFL, Win the games you should instead of getting upset, winning your bowl games consistently, winning some games you probably were outmatched but you out schemed them enough or found a weakness to exploit that gave you an upset victory.
  10. This evaluation of each coach is exactly how I feel. And in my opinion, is spot on. We haven't had an upper level coach since Dye. Again, in my opinion.
  11. I want the easiest possible opponents to give us the best chance to get to Atlanta. Give me Ole missy, Moo St. and FLorida/Vandy from the east. Sorry thats just what I want since we are in the toughest conference. I want my Tigers to win as many games as we can every year.
  12. Its true. Kind of like marriage. I've been married for almost 30 years and my wife still hasn't changed. I'm holding out hope though....
  13. Agreed. 100% As I'm watching the above highlight reel, I'm thinking this guy is at minimum high 4*. I dont know if he just doesnt do camps or whatever but obviously the colleges have him on their radar.
  14. From the small number of clips Ive seen, this kid is smooth as butter and makes it look effortless. Im VERY excited about this kid.
  15. Our game vs South Carolina was the best our offense has looked all year IMHO. We were passing the ball more and getting great open looks at the basket like we have not gotten all year. We had 20 assists also which is a great indicator of a team looking to make their teammates better or get a higher percentage shot. For whatever reason we haven't done that since. Maybe it was just South Carolina. Although they aren't exactly terrible.
  16. Yes Yes Maybe so, but I just came back to this board a couple months ago. I was just stating my opinion for the first time.
  17. So what you all are saying is that I am going to have to keep hitting the refresh button here at work all day? No problem!
  18. I know I am probably a minority here, unless you hear me out, but here goes. I was not a huge fan of the hire but I supported Harsin even through the off season accusations all the way up to about halfway through the past season. I just had to wake up and see him for what he was and that is just a bad coach. I knew he was starting with both hands tied behind his back thanks to terrible recruiting of Gus & Co. But at some point it was just evident he was out of his league and I didnt even know about the recruiting, attitude issues cause I had stepped away from here and other news sites. But I think the real issue is Allen Greene. I mean, you hired a dude based on a conversation in a Hot Tub at a conference??? We should have known it right then but we were just hoping for something great to get us out of mediocrity. I've heard this in church for years and its true in life. Change just for the sake of change is not good. Making a coaching hire that is "out of the box" usually is not a good idea either. I place the majority of the blame on Allen Greene personally. Harsin being a close 2nd.
  19. What time is he announcing? Seems like I read 9am somewhere but not sure.
