  1. Either would obviously be great. Feel free to correct any of this, but from what I’ve seen it sounds like the NBA ruling in Maker isn’t expected until around April? I’m not sure when CO plans on committing somewhere, but I’d hate to turn away or slow play someone of his caliber on the hope that the NBA doesn’t let Maker enter the draft and that he picks us. I could be off base here, but Maker has the feel to me of the first dart throw we make with the extra spot that could open up if Okoro leaves early?
  2. Assuming you’re talking about C Jaylin Williams, he would certainly be a great get. But I have to say, the prospect of signing two Jaylin Williamses in back to back classes does seem like it might lend itself to some confusion down the road.
  3. Do we know yet if Jalen Green and/or Cam Thomas ended up making it in this weekend for the Ring Ceremony/ Copper commitment/ Miss St game?
  4. Would imagine we’d know soonish. I believe today was the first day of the second, roughly month long, signing period.
  5. UCLA has got to be on any list of historical “blue bloods”. With a win percentage just a hair under .700 and with 11 championships, the most all time and as many as Duke and UNC combined, they are arguably the most successful program of all time (though I think I’d give Kentucky that nod). As for Virginia, no they aren’t a blue blood in the historical, traditional sense. But with 3 of the last 5 ACC championships, and the #1 overall tournament seed last year, they are certainly one of college basketball’s current powerhouses. This was the sentiment that I was trying to get at in the original post where I referenced them. If you were making a list of Kessler’s current “top offers”, they’d probably be up there along with Xavier. But neither school appears to be at the top of his actual list. We don’t know for certain what happens if Kansans, Duke, UNC, or UCLA comes calling (I think if UK wants him they’ll get him). But the evidence we have so far seems to indicate, albeit weakly, that they wouldn’t automatically knock us out of the running.
  6. It’ll be an uphill battle for sure. I think it’s somewhat encouraging though that UVA doesn’t appear to have jumped up to the top of his list as soon as they offered, so maybe we can compete with at least some of the blue bloods. I know he’s spoken highly of Kentucky and said that they’d be very much in the picture if they offer. It seems for the moment like they’re more enamoured with N’valy Dante, so maybe we’ll get a little help there. Not sure what the Duke and UNC pictures look like, and granted it’s super early. But it sounds like we’ll have at least a puncher’s chance, which is pretty new territory for us.

  8. 15 offers including: Auburn, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Creighton, Florida, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Xavier, Illinois, Memphis, Ole Miss, Saint Johns, Stanford, Texas A&M, and Virginia. Also being recruiting by Kentucky and Duke. Not sure how to properly do the 247 profile embed. Any help is appreciated.
  9. Any indication that we (or anyone else) are close to Bama in terms of Kira Lewis’ recruitment?
  10. Hopefully this habit isn't as pervasive for him as it was for Roc.
  11. James Cook completely ruled us out at this point?
  12. In his defense though, I think he loses by much more without having done that. That was a terrifying and frustrating game if I recall correctly.
  13. You might not have to ask him to change positions. If we land both Fields and Gatewood, and both are what they are cracked up to be at QB, then one of them likely red shirts and then looks to compete for the job as a RSJR when the other heads to the NFL. Given what we've heard about their current levels of polish, it'd likely be Gatewood that gets the RS, which might not be the worst thing for him. I think even with his upside, it'd be hard for him to step into a starting gig at any contender until his 3rd year or so on campus.
  14. I agree with this, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see DM getting more minutes at PG than JH by the end of next season. As much as I love JH and what he's done this season, DM may just have more tools at his his disposal at the end of the day. Either way, we should be looking at an embarrassment of riches at the position next season.
  15. The word throughout his recruitment was that she was going to transfer to wherever he ended up. It's possible that could change, but that was always the plan.
  16. No worries, I didn't take your comment as you implying that he would follow him anywhere. I was just adding that I personally think that the potential landing spots for KB where JS would follow might be be smaller than many think, e.g. LSU, Florida, and a few others.
  17. I'm with you on that. But I'll add though that I don't think that many teams would have to be scratched off the list of KB landing spots for JS to pull the trigger. Personally, I am not of the mind that JS will follow KB to any P5 team. I don't know that he'd follow him somewhere like Wake Forest or Rutgers for example. There is also the human element of wanting the decision to be over with that is on our side. I imagine that not having any idea where'd you'll be going to school gets to be pretty nerve-wracking once you're only a week or two from being on campus.
  18. FWIW, rumors starting to circulate that Mark Helfrich may be the favorite to land the LSU OC job. He could have some other HC opportunities though, so that could be slow played on his part. But it doesn't look like KB is at the top of their list, at least now. Doesn't rule him out as a QB coach though evn if he doesn't get the HC job.
  19. Not E, but I think he was implying that he'd not sign an NLI with any school, he would just enroll at whatever school he chooses. That's not too uncommon for mid year enrollees to do.
  20. No one has posted anything concrete here. There has been speculation that LSU could be, but at this points it's just speculation.
  21. I believe aubcali was joking. There is a running joke hear about the Lobos "stealing" Auburn recruits.
