  1. Annnnd that's what happens when you have a game changing guard. ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ Sick watching Bama make another Sweet 16.
  2. Unfortunately, the moment was too big for them. I honestly donโ€™t know why we played to their strengths, which was a slower pace. Not running any offensive sets. Tre would literally just dribble the ball and not do anything. Just bad offense where, in a game like that, every possession counts. Should have just fed Broome all damn game. He could have easily put a 30 piece on them.
  3. Says the guy who put his hands on a player earlier this season. ๐Ÿ™„
  4. Yeah, especially since I'm sure Steven Pearl "had the scout on Yale" ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ˜‚. A succession plan to simply keep Bruce around for a couple of years would be gross. Go get a big name and proven winner after he hangs it up. The basketball program will turn into the football program if they do that. I don't think I need to explain what I mean by that either.
  5. It's ok to be wrong sometimes. Also, literally no one said this. We all thought we had a shot but we all knew this whole season PG was our weakest position and could hurt us from making a run. Two things can be true at once.
  6. I wonder if he tries to get taller and quicker at those positions or just keeps the status quo. I think the small PG is fine if the guy is a legit threat, like Sears for instance. Harper was the same way. Bryce was on the shorter end also as a 2 guard but dude could shoot the lights out. These combo guards are nice and all but trying to turn them into PGs hasn't exactly worked lately I feel like. I wonder how Tahaad will do. He's a legit scoring threat like a Sears I feel like. Thoughts on him?
  7. Nah, SG. But he hasn't really gone after taller/bigger 2's either. I think he tried having Samir kind of play that bigger PG role the year after 2019 but he was really a true SG. But he likes the short dudes at PG for sure and even SG to an extent.
  8. You do realize the more you keep posting on this topic the more ridiculous you sound?
  9. Exactly, it's the same story over and over again, which makes it weird because if its obvious to us you'd think it's obvious to him and his coaching staff. In his post game interview he said their weaknesses finally caught up with them. It's obvious he meant at guard.
  10. If we're being honest, this team had way more talent from top to bottom but not at the guard position (obviously). Just like the one in 2022 with Jabari and Walker. Until he rectifies that we won't get over the hump with Bruce.
  11. I just think some things Bruce does makes you scratch your head. That's my main problem with the guy. I think he can get us past it, but we sure been wondering when he'll get over the hump and put it all together with one of these teams. We were one DUDE at PG away this year I feel like...without it...you get the result you saw tonight.
  12. Lol....that's funny. You don't know what you're talking about.
  13. It's guard play. NCAA tournament is all about who has DUDES at Guard. And if you have a big to go along with that....then you're well on your way to a run.
  14. Imagine being an Auburn fan in Spokane right now having to watch Bama actually beat a team like they're supposed to...
  15. Need to be on the phone with them the whole way back to Auburn.
  16. Yeah, would have been interesting to see what that team with Okoro would do...Cooper team? Probably nothing. We were not good at all and Flanigan was...terrible.
  17. You have to upgrade the PG position and like YESTERDAY. Tre might take a leap but he's still a bigger PG with little quickness. We can't keep trying to make combo guards into PGs at this level.
  18. And in his 10 years of being here, has he recruited one that has committed and stayed for their entire time here? I can't think of one.... I like the small guards but only if they can shoot and actually be a threat to get down hill. Sure would be nice to get some but I won't hold my breath.
  19. It'd be nice if it worked that way, but, it really doesn't.... Sometimes even the most unathletic dudes get hot. That shot over Cardwell said it all. It was just his night.
  20. Oh I completely agree with you on strategies had to change. A lot of things were just out of sync after he got ejected. Tre played more minutes than he ever has. Aden was...Aden. Broome was getting mugged and no fouls. KD actually controlled himself emotionally but was still...KD. Having Chad out threw off a lot of things, especially our rotation. But, I figured even with our talent, we should beat Yale. Yeah dude played a great game and he may never score like that again, but I think coaching didn't help us either. We played to Yale's strength, which was slow basketball. We had probably 6 fast break points. We never got out on the break. Just weird to change up who you've been all season even with Chad getting ejected.
  21. Yeah, dude just played a hell of a game. Just like the 25 year old from Oakland against Kentucky, Lol.
  22. Is he really our best defender though? Pearl would disagree with you as he's said Denver is our best on ball defender. I think not having Chad obviously hurt us because Denver had to play on that dude which made him winded. I'd never seen him as winded as he was because he was having to guard their best player and take a lions share of the scoring outside of Broome. With CMB we win, but you play with the cards you are dealt.
  23. I'd say no, but, one is way more realistic than the other... That's just the truth. I don't think this takes away from the season we had but we really had no business losing to Yale, no matter how you slice it. They looked like they how did against Moo State when we played them away. Just seemed to have a lack of "want to" besides Broome. I hope that kid gets everything he deserves, which is hopefully an opportunity to make a ton of money.
