Sloppy game by SDSU and UAB. SDSU is a physical team but not a offensive dynamic team.

Yeah, definitely not a good look. But, is what it is... I think that is why we have a good chance in this tournament. We can do both and have a relatively older team. We'll soon find out this afternoon! War Eagle!

SEC is not overrated. The Tournament is about matchups. It's also one game. None of the teams you just mentioned play both good defense and offense. It's one or the other. And all it takes is a bad offensive night to lose. Auburn had no business losing to Moo State, Kentucky, or even Tenn. If you have a good defense (which kept us in those aforementioned games), you at least have a fighting chance if you can make a few stops and shots. Moo State and SCar are not great offensive teams. Moo State ran into a seasoned Tom Izzo team and South Carolina was small compared to Oregon, nor do they really fill it up offensively. Kentucky, well, requires their offense to win games. If they could actually play some defense they probably win.

UK had no business being a 3 seed. That and they ran into an old team. Oakland's guards are literally 24 and 22. They played a team full of upperclassmen.

Good thing we have an 3rd Team All-American in Johni Broome and two-time SEC champion, Jaylin Williams to give us points inside. I think we'll be good. I love that team, but 2019 is no where near inside presence we possess now.

It's not. Some of our teams are just really one sided. Either they're good offensively or good defensively. Not many of them do both well: Auburn and Tenn, for instance. So if shots aren't fall for Kentucky its no surprise they're having problems with Oakland.

BYU ran into a bad match up with Duquesne. I never thought SCar or Moo State would do much. Their style of play is fine in the SEC because there is a lot of beating each other up but you have to be able to score in tournament. Neither of them were big offensive threats... At any rate, Oregon beating SCar isn't all that surprising. They hung around for a little bit but its getting ugly.

Figured we should have a thread where we can talk about the tournament in general and other games we are watching. Watched the finish of Grambling State game. They have a deep bench. 35 bench points! Will be interesting how Purdue deals with their speed. It seems like the refs are letting teams play instead of being whistle heavy. If that is the trend throughout the tournament, that bodes well for us...

I've been waiting for that since 2019. Might not ever get it, but I hope they suck from now until 2019 is all but a distant memory....

I mean, have you seen them play? They play 7 dudes, tops. And none of them are world beaters. We've played teams in the SEC all year who have a size advantage over us, including the UF team we just beat by 19. Yale is not some anomaly. Not saying you don't respect each opponent, because you should, but its not delusional to say we should beat the hell out of them by 40 points. Unless we just don't feel like making a run for a championship, the walk ons should be coming into this game with 3 minutes left.

If we make the Sweet 16, our fans will travel. Me included. San Diego State had like 5 starting seniors on that team. A lot different from last year. In the portal world unless you are the top teams in the country that get talent in every year what you did last year really doesn't mean much.

Yeah...I don't trust anything he said. He also said the other teams (like Iowa State and IL) winning their championship games mattered and then when asked about Auburn he was mum. I said our Quad 1 record would keep us a 4 seed but damn, the way we were playing as of late I could see a move up as a 3 seed if the committee actually watched the games...And to be the third worst 4 seed? You've got to be kidding me. Disrespectful. But our boys will use it as fuel! No harm, no foul, just have to win your matchups. We've got what it takes.
