  1. With his bump to 122 on Rivals, Britt is now a composite 4* (.8916). 309 National, 12 ILB. Time for a title update!!!
  2. TD is pretty pumped about his bump, feels his hard work is paying off. Really enjoyed BCW and doing some recruiting.
  3. The idea that one QB will make bad seasons into good ones and keep us out of the SEC cellar is, to say the least, very weird. A good team (which we will have) won't be in the cellar because of one position. This is just stupid. The QB position is one of the most integral positions in the game of football. Look at what happened to Oregon, the games that Vernon Adams did not play for them. Anytime they faced a team with a pulse they lost. TCU scored an unprecedented 31 unanswered points against the ducks in the second half in his absence and they got obliterated when he wasn't there during their game against the UTES. Adams played defense too? Who knew he was a renaissance man? Yeah this went right over your head. I wasn't expecting you to understand anyhow. Anywho, this Joey Gatewood! Pretty good, huh? Nothing went over my head, you're just wrong. If a team gives up 31 points in a half it's not due to their own QB play, it's because their defense sucks. So, as I said, the QB position alone won't put an otherwise good team in the cellar. Now, if they have poor QB play and the defense sucks and their RB's fumble and their receivers drop good passes, then they will end up in the cellar but it won't be solely because of the QB. 31 UNANSWERED points. Do you know what UNANSWERED means? It means despite the defense giving up 31 points, the offense put up ZILCH the whole second half. You can have the best defense in the nation, you can have boobie miles in the backfield and Jerry Rice at the Z, but if you have uncle rico as your QB, none of those makes much of a difference. You are the only person on this thread who remotely believes this notion. Oregon was a completely different team with Vernon Adams than without him. I think AUJeff cited that Oregon only had 18 yards on 18 plays for the second half, after producing over 300 yards in the first half, yet you are going to blame the defense. With Vernon Adams, they lose to Michigan state by 3 at Spartan stadium. Without Vernon Adams, they lose 62 - 20 against UTAH at Eugene. With Vernon Adams, they are up 31-0 against TCU at the half. Without Vernon Adams, they ultimately lose 47-41 in OT against TCU. He makes a huge difference in their team dynamics. You can keep your head in the sand all you want, but if he doesn't play for Oregon, they are probably 6-6 like us. Does that mean QB play is the only thing that matters? NOPE. Can QB play change you from being an average team to a good to a great team? Yes. Speaking of Adams, just signed with Montreal Alouettes in Canadian League.
  4. Things I know to be 100% false. No one in his family was shocked TD picked AU. Not even his uncle. You have no idea which uncle I am referring to.
  5. Some things I learned today about TD... 1. Apparently had silently committed to Bama at some point. 2. Family was shocked by AU pick but fully supports TD. 3. It is true TD has only 1 year football experience and here's why; played 8th grade, sat 9th bc staff at Wenonah transferred to JO, missed 10th with gunshot injury to leg. 4. Coach at JO very pro-AU. 5. Has relatives 6-4 and 6-5 and could easily grow into DE/Buck. 6. Natural leader and very humble. 7. Hard worker, why he gels with T-Will so well. AU sold him on early PT and development under T-Will
  6. Was just an indication of pressure IMO. Just something to watch for should bama get on him late.
  7. Apparently his mom isn't per WDE. From his uncle..."Guys, I wouldn't get too excited...take my word for it." Hope momma has more pull than the rest of the fam.
  8. TD is the nephew of a coworker. It's legit that they are a huge bama family.
  9. I have not seen where CJ is a take but he very well may be. PSU lean anyways so may not matter CJ committed to PSU
  10. I have not seen where CJ is a take but he very well may be. PSU lean anyways so may not matter
  11. However, still pretty sure CJ Thorpe is a take. Hand is high on him. Could see us taking 2 if right pair.
  12. Seemingly, one would think that a recruit would love for his choice to be just as unknown as the previous one so the guessing game can be played out among the fans.In this case, the recruit that commits first would be essentially announcing where the second guy is playing. That'seven assuming they pick the same school. According to B Matthews, they are planning on picking the same school. Planning being the operative word. Yes, but what we are saying is that's only an issue if you believe this is straight up. They may have all the intentions in the world to be a package deal, but as many have said that rarely pans out. In the event it doesn't, the suspense to see if it does is just as much of a game as everything else.
  13. The funny twist to this is that they say they will announce for the same school but on different days. Just kind of feels like a set-up. Will be pleasantly surprised to sign both!
  14. Keith says @Humble10 is an account for TD Moultry. The header pick for that account looks like TD & I found tweets referencing TD w/ that handle. If they do end up a package deal that may not be good for us if TD is really leaning to Bama. I thought so, but couldn't immediately verify. I think most schools would be fine with a package deal of 2 highly rated recruits. Agree on bama.
  15. Updates from his Twitter: - Announcement date August 8th. - Top 12 April 11th. - Says he and Dylan Humble (@humble10) are a package deal.
  16. Everyone one of us would be committed baring a coaching change, should not be a knock on him. He's been a solid commit for 7 mos and recruits for us. In today's recruiting world, not much more you can realistically ask for.
