  1. What in the heck can the UGA coach be arguing about in regards to fouls? Is he blind or stupid?
  2. Can someone explain to me when an Auburn shooter is in the air after a drive and gets bodied it isn't a foul? If a UGA player is doing the same it is a foul?
  3. My bad guys/gals. I think they called that foul on me because i looked at #4.
  4. This is why CBM has been my favorite player this year. He is showcasing what I saw/see.
  5. UGA #4 is literally pushing off every time he has the ball.
  6. I am really tired of the consistency of SEC refs this year. They call Cardwell for a foul after the offensive player walked. Cardwell didn't touch him when he went up. Holloway on the other end gets bumped mid air during a shot and nothing. UGA offensive players pushing off to free up space. Refs suck. That is all.
  7. With the Buccaneers hiring Bryan McClendon from UGA, Auburn might want to keep Marcus Davis under lock and key.
  8. Wish him nothing but the best. Good luck Caddy.
  9. Denver and CBM are listed as Juniors on the team's roster site. Dylan is listed as a Senior. AuburnNTexas listed Cardwell as coming back so I went on the assumption that he had a COVID year left. Auburn team roster link
  10. Here is how I see it playing out: PG - Tre Donaldson(6'3"), PG - Tahaad Pettiford(5'10") SG - Denver Jones(6'4"), PG - Aden Holloway(6'1") PF - Chaney Johnston(6'7"), OPEN SF - Chad Baker-Mazra(6'7), SF - Jahki Howard(6'6") C - Dylan Cardwell(6'11"), OPEN PG : Auburn is set at this position. Donaldson, Holloway, and Pettiford can all play point. IMO, Pettiford will have to play point. Donaldson has cemented himself this year as the starter. Holloway could move out to SG. I don't see a way that Pearl carries 3 PGs into the season. There will not be enough minutes to satisfy them all. SG : Denver Jones could be moved to PF if Pearl elects to go with a small lineup. I doubt he will though. Denver's offensive production fits better at SG. I think Holloway moves over to SG. to replace KD who is leaving. PF : Chaney Johnson will need a back up. The portal will need to provide here. SF : CBM should be a starter next year. I don't know how well Howard's production will translate to college but he seems to be talented. If CBM is relegated to 2nd team again, I will call the position a strength. Jaylin Williams leaving will hurt though. C : Cardwell has been more productive this season. If he gets more minutes, I can see him being more productive but I don't see a 20 point plus player in him. I see a 15 point player. The portal will need to provide someone here. To compete for the job at minimum. Portal: As mentioned, Auburn will need to find another center and power forward. I think they have to keep communication open with SGs as well. Just in case Donaldson or Holloway transfers.
  11. Zach Edey is a problem for opponents. He is always parked down low, easy to hit with a pass, and hard to stop when it happens. No disrespect to Broome and Cardwell but I don't think they'd be able to handle him. They could employ the Hack-A-Shaq strategy although I feel the best strategy is getting him in foul trouble. Auburn guards don't seem to like feeding the post in Auburn's offense.
  12. When Bama beat Auburn by four on their home court, I started to post in the game thread that Auburn would beat them by 10+ in Auburn. I didn't because I have been an Auburn fan for far too long. Thus I know being over confident is often met with differing results. My reasoning was that teams shoot better at home vs on the road. So Auburn was bound to shoot better and Bama worse. That happened. Also, Jaylin Williams was non-existent at Bama. There was no way he was going to not show up today. Most importantly, offensive rebounding is absolutely the reason Auburn lost the game at Bama. Auburn out rebounded them on both sides of the floor tonight. All of these things led to Bama getting blown out.
  13. I'm hesitant for Garner. When he was last at Auburn, they had cycles of defensive ends and defensive tackles. One year Auburn would have good ends and the next good tackles but hardly ever both at the same time. I don't know if he was at fault for that but I don't know that he wasn't. Hence why I am hesitant to have him back. Maybe I'm misplacing my hesitancy and others that are more knowledgeable can chime in if they wish. I do not want to revisit that dynamic though.
  14. Ryan Grubb could make quick exit from Alabama for the Seahawks LOL if it happens
  15. I hope so. We Auburn fans had much consternation about Steele as the DC due to a 70 point Clemson game. He came in and did a great job. Much like you, I do hope that Durkin comes in proves to be the right hire. Much like a teenage relationship, we Auburn fans overthink things.
  16. It may have been a sour grapes situation as far as I know. I was just trying to speak on actual football since the topic changed. Further, as much as I tried to ignore it and say it was sour grapes Boise State fans warned Auburn fans about Harsin.
  17. While not a big deal overall, I'd bet we Auburn fans would be freaking out about this.
  18. Now that we are into the discussion of Durkin's coaching. I have been trying to read on some concerns TAMU fans had when he was their DC. They mentioned that his defenses gave up 40 yard runs or 40 yard passes consistently. His defenses had a tendency to give up third and longs. Apparently would make some sort of face(blank stare maybe) on the sideline that they didn't care for. Giving up third and longs, 40 yard runs, and 40 yard passes. Where have I seen that before?
  19. People that are supportive can also point out when things are done incorrectly. Largely though, winning makes up for mistakes. If Auburn beat New Mexico State and Maryland then there aren't as many people second guessing Freeze. It was an all-around failure on this past Auburn team. The coaching staff failed to prepare the team and the team failed to prepare. It isn't an either or scenario. It was both.
