I just don't think that PBB, Jr. is going to let those who have a personal dislike for DS dissuade him from the hire. DS is a proven winner and PBB, Jr. will be sober minded.

Maybe, maybe not, but for years I have asked every bammer I've talked to who would replace NS and the answer has always been DS. When asked if they would consider someone else, they all said no. That's only a few dozen people though. A very good REC friend of mine says that DS is disliked too much these days, so he doesn't think it would be him.

LOL, yeah that call was funny. It's Dabo. Whatever the beef is between the UpDykes and DS, all will be forgiven and forgotten the instant his name is announced. His record and pedigree surpasses NS when he was hired, PLUS, he's one of their own. PLUS, DS is the only person they've mentioned for 17 years as NS's replacement. Every UpDyke for years has had their heart set on him.

UA players stated yesterday that they were told the new hc would be announced within 72 hours.

CK was never co-DC at UA, he was associate DC and he was not fired by NS. He was pursued by Deion to be his DC at the same time CK had applied for the AU DC position when HF was hired. CK was offered either associate DC or assistant DC by HF which CK declined, instead he took the Colorado job.

Excellent summary. I'll go one further. CK will be hc at AU one day and fans will be thankful for that day. If ever there will have been a man groomed to be hc at AU, it's CK. WAR DAMN KELLY !!!

No argument from me. I believe CK will be long-awaited, pleasant surprise for AU fans though. We shall see.

As you rightly described about HF, but CK is at AU now. He'll make things orderly, at least on the defense side of the ball.

CK's defenses at FSU were ranked #9, #45, #29, #49 He's a good DC. And he's an excellent recruiter.
