It's A-Day, but Holden should be showing signs that he is the next guy up and pushing Thorne. He just does not seem to be taking that step. IMO, HE either hits the portal or is reserved to be the eternal backup until he gets his degree and then move on as grad transfer perhaps.

I believe whoever they get at Kentucky will provide the same results as Oats. So, I would be happy to get him out of tuscaloosa and let bama have to find the replacement. That will be tougher to replicate at bama than at Kentucky. IMO

We got a lot of folks in here upset cause their bama buddies are gonna make fun of them for losing to Yale. CBM's family was in the stands watching him play. There are some nice pics of him hugging his Dad prior to the game. How do you think CBM felt after all of the shock and pride wore off? How many games did Auburn win or maybe win handily because of the "edge" he brought to the team that we did not have last year. Yes, his mistake cost himself and Auburn a lot against Yale. I forgot about it after a night's rest though. I bet CBM won't forget about it, possibly for the rest of his life. We need to back away from the keyboard on this one. Let this young man learn from his mistake and look forward to seeing him next year with that same edge that helped this team all year. I don't want to see CBM without that edge cause we will need it next year. Not throwing elbows edge but the not being afraid to mix it up when necessary edge.

I'm thinking that Bruce is a different kind of Father to Steven than Bobby was to Patrick. Just my thoughts based on what is/was shown on TV (so no insider knowledge). I think Steven would have a chance to be successful at Auburn. Patrick never had a chance IMO.

There have been two coaches of late in this state bigger than the brand they were coaching: Bruce Pearl and Nick Saban. One just retired and that brand is about to find out what life will be like when they fall back to earth. The same will happen to Auburn when Bruce leaves IMO. I am just fine with CSP being next in line and seeing if he can keep Dad around for cheerleading and promotion of the program.

Well if our goal is to win the SEC then we do have to worry about them losing cause we ain't getting that banner without them dropping multiple games. But I understand what you are saying. We probably need to win out to have a legit shot.

Whoever evaluates portal guards needs to reconsider their approach. I am fine with the high school guard recruiting but we are wasting good wing and big man talent with very average guards in the portal. Either we don't have the $ to compete with other schools or we are poor talent evaluators.

I've seen a lot of SEC basketball this year. Officiating is as bad as I have seen. They clearly do not have anyone evaluating them during the season.

Curious if he enjoys playing for a coach that has the emotional maturity of a 5th grader? He seems to not fit that program at all. Saw his interview last night on SEC Network and then read the comments from the coach about the reasons things got heated and thought how sad.
