  1. As it pertains to recruiting, I think the problem isn't the recruiting itself but who we're re recruiting. Gus constantly stresses the need for a strong running game but ths the offensive line continues to be horrible year after year. If you need to run the football, shouldn't the main focus in recruiting be on Running backs and offensive linemen?
  2. It's not just about recruiting, it's about player development. Auburn is light years behind in both. Auburn players put their pants on one leg at a time just like Georgia players.
  3. No mention of the pathetic secondary or how Stidham fades hard under pressure? Stidham was more responsible for this loss than the offensive line.
  4. How many 5 star athletes this time around? Also, It isn't who you bring in, it's how you develop them. Insane on paper ONLY until Gus proves otherwise.
  5. B-B-but Gus finally gets it (about the 10th time it's been said since he became head coach). He's been a new man since the LSU game. I guess what they say about a Tiger's inability to change one's stripes is true afterall.
  6. He was never an offensive guru either. He was just lucky enough to coach to elite QB's that were developed elsewhere that dominated and ran the ball on almost every down behind a stout offensive line.
  7. Stats can be misleading. Gus has never had a problem moving the ball inbetween the 20's. It's the insufferable red zone efficiency that's the problem. His red zone playcalling is a bust. I don't know what makes Gus think that when a particular play(s) Don't work the first 17 times he tries it, the 18th time will be any different. You'd think after 5 years, he'd know what an adjustment looks like.
  8. Down year for the second season in a row. Look at the marquee out of conference games and bowl games as your indicators, not how competitive the teams are within conference play. Florida probably losses 4-5 regular season games if they were playing the Big 10.
  9. And if Gus's first four years as head coach are any indication, he will be conservative. Sad state of affairs this coaching staff is. Not a single pass play called for JF III is pretty abysmal. How do you learn and get better if you're not even given the opportunity (against a mid major no less).
  10. The question isn't why would he recruit a QB like SW and turn him into something else? The question is why would he recruit SW? I don't think there is a team in a power five conference that could win with SW at QB. Btw, SW is a dual threat QB, not a pro-style QB and his strength requires a stout offensive line that can open up holes which Auburn doesn't have. SW will not beat SEC teams with his arm.
