  1. Butch has done a pretty stand-up job with it too. JUCO guys were good place holders for this year and next, and should allow us to get these guys in here and build. I really liked the JUCO guys that came in this year, almost all of them contributed in some way, and some were huge for the team (I.e. Todd, Jarvis, Anthony, Estes, Coker, Ingram)
  2. My money is on the wholeness Watson starts and gives us 2-3 and then let the bullpen run wild. Maybe even Camacho tomorrow?
  3. With regards to who we throw tomorrow- I think if you're Butch, you've got to realize that whoever you throw, you're gonna have to score some runs. Florida will hit just about anyone other than Mize and possibly Keegan, so it would make more sense for me if tomorrow was more of a bullpen day. You hope you score enough runs to win, but if not, you've got a proven starter to go for you in an elimination game. If you win, you've got that proven starter saved for another big opponent. Gonna b tough tomorrow but I certainly think florida is beatable. We'll get their ace in assuming?
  4. Well they get out of it. Tie ball game 3-3 going to B6. I've had good and bad feelings tonight. Something telling me we gonna win this one today...
  5. Yeah I was responding to OP saying it was an error- my bad! JOE DIRT
  6. Error was a hit- that was hard hit to Holland at short and they scored it a hit. Keegan bout to settle down right.......now
  7. I know this kind of got lost in all the bad stuff that happened, but did anyone else see the fire he played with last night? That's the first time in a long time I've seen an Auburn Post Player back down a defender, turn around and slam it home with a foul right over the guy. I'm not sure if anyone else saw what I saw, but Wiley looks like he's going to be something really special next year.
  8. Seems like BigCat liked what he heard this weekend. Garner might prove Instrumental. I bet he's an Auburn Tiger tomorrow.
  9. With regards to the tournament- typically, an SEC team that has 20+ wins is at least going to be a bubble team. It certainly depends on RPI and SEC record, but if we can get to 20, we'll at least get some air time with the talking heads. If we beat TCU, we will need 6 more SEC wins to reach that 20 game mark, which would be a final record of 9-9 in the SEC. If we lose to TCU, we'll need 7 SEC wins, a final record of 10-8. 20-11 with a 9-9 or 10-8 SEC record and an RPI in, roughly, the low 40s. Good Wins: Texas Tech (Neutral), Oklahoma (Neutral), @Connecticut Bad Losses: Boston College (Neutral) ill get some flack for lumping the Connecticut win in there, but any time you beat a team with that historic caliber on the ROAD, that will be recognized as a good win. If we can pick up one or two more good wins ( S car, TCU, Arkansas, Florida, or some more road SEC wins) we will be building a good resume. The Vandy game could come back to haunt us if they falter a bit down the stretch. I'm rooting for vandy and BC the rest of the season and hoping we take care of the most business that we can.
  10. While we certainly will not be favored today, and while many of us are already warming up the criticism we will have for the team after today, just remember this: Auburn Basketball is in a position, today, where a win would most likely bolt them into, or close, to a top 25 ranking. A Win over Texas Tech and non-home victories against 2 power five schools and Kentucky would look pretty impressive and could be the beginning of a season to remember. Don't expect it today, just know that while it is certainly a daunting task, it is also a huge opportunity to be the turning point of the program.
  11. Because why not. If he's good enough to come in and win the job at some point, i like it fine. Looks quick, can throw in the run, fairly big guy, I like it
  12. Right now, the Warren Nolan RPI link projects us at finishing 21-10 overall (11-7 SEC) with an overall RPI of 86. I'm not positive on what RPI would have to be to cement a tournament bid, but a 21 win season with 11 SEC wins seems like it means we would be dancing. We'd certainly like RPI to be higher than that, but with an SEC tournament win or two to lock up a 22 or 23 win season in the SEC, I'd say we'd be in fairly comfortably.
  13. I don't think BP is even wanting to set up half court offenses very much. Look at when he was at Tennessee, a lot of what those teams did was play defense, and isolate their best players to help them create and score. Pearl seems to like leaving the offense in a state of create and score. Thats why guys like KT Harrell and Kareem Canty were such great scorers. Pearl let them work. When you have talent to do that, which we do, why slow it down when you can get up a lot of shots, and trust your great defense will win you some games in which you do not hit shots.

  15. Dunans might might be the missing link we need for a complete team at times. You saw the other night, we looked discombobulated and unsure of what to do against BC. TJ might be the one to bring a leadership to the team on any given night. That may not show up in the stat column as much as, say, Purifoy and Heron, but it's important for our team's psyche.
  16. Thanks E, I did not read the New Williams thread entirely, and must have missed that tidbit- my apologies
  17. With New Williams transferring, Auburn may be getting ready to add a scholarship player.... I'm not speculating, I'm just looking at the facts and making an observation.....
  18. Big news. Could be today or tomorrow. I wouldnt expect him to do too much if somehow he got in before the 15th against CC in that game. Would be cool, though, to see Pearl put him out there for about 2-3 minutes just to watch him run, see him rebound a bit. Of course he'll need to learn the offense and begin some team bonding, but it looks as if he's eager to go now!
  19. I'll agree to disagree on that. To me, the contesting was there, Purdue just couldn't miss. Didn't mean the whole "did you play ball" to be a sarcastic comment, was actually inquiring; I know there are people on here who sprout off opinions and have never played the sport. Can certainly respect a differing opinion from one who has experienced the game as well.
