@cole256I am probably in the minority on this opinion but I think Mason would be a good, possibly even great head coach at Auburn. When he was at Vandy I always just felt like if given the opportunity at a place with the resources of Auburn he could do great things. He ticks so many boxes on things we say we want in a head coach. His soft skills are great and I don’t think there is any question about X’s and O’s. I think someone gives him a shot again soon.

I think it’s hilarious that someone would think any SEC football player is “soft” is hilarious. Undisciplined, immature, I can buy those, but I don’t buy soft.

Time will tell and winning cures all. I wouldn’t suspect that he would have the support of anyone on that team if it was as bad as some have made it out to be. All those guys cry, bleed, and sweat together. They have a bond with each other that few understand. I suspect that some of the things that were said by players were meant to be said amongst themselves. I don’t think they realized the storm that a few comments would cause when there were some sharks just looking for blood in the water. When you are teammates you talk about your coaches with each other. You get pissed, you get frustrated, you say things to each other but you would never let anyone outside of the family say those things about your coach. With a player’s ability to get on a live stream, all of a sudden everyone see’s things that they meant for each other. I am not saying this is the case for every player that spoke out but I do think it was the case with a few.

This is hard to hear. It should be the total opposite. When we are down we should be spending it to try and catch up. We scream and argue on here about recruiting and performance on the field. I sometimes feel like the people on this forum have higher expectations than our own AD. Is that crazy to say based on the numbers just posted? We will throw millions to get rid of a coach we don’t like but we won’t spend it to try to get players to win football games? It doesn’t make senses to me. I also understand the money that’s used to fire a coach is coming from a different pool than recruiting money. Someone help me understand why for years we have not been spending money to keep up with the Jones’s.

Yep, it’s usually initiated by someone lower in the chain of command and as it gets more serious, more get involved. It’s definitely closed by the DC/OC and head coach

I have figured out the appropriate answer to 99.9% of all questions that anyone, including myself, has regarding what just happened in Auburn….. I don’t have a f$&@ing clue.

It was never meant to be bait. It’s just a thought I had and I had never seen anyone discussing it.

I’m not going to look it up but I would bet the number of offensive plays they ran in the second half compared to us would be eye popping. We were gassed and they were eating us alive.

I think it’s also possible that he knew what Harsin was about to be facing regarding the “investigation”. Having been in football as long as he has, he knows when the power brokers put a bullseye on your back, the chance of survival are slim to none. Is it possible he knew every bit of the BS that was about to be spewed by the media and he wanted to get away from it?

Nice to see him elevate. I really think he is getting more confident on that leg and is looking more explosive. His defense has been lock down since he has been back though
