Go back and watch highlights of Darren McFadden at Arkansas when Gus was there. Then watch KJ this year and I think you'll swear that Darren McFadden has suited up for Auburn.

My 2 cents... Sometimes coaches will reward upper-classmen who work hard with "titles" (Starter). However, if there's one position where "being the starter" vs "playing time" is not really important, it's WR. That position is constantly rotating in and out. Based on what we've heard, they seem to be practicing well and they're certainly get their chances to win that title this year!

Beyond the QB's, if you believe the stories, wasn't part of Borges' problem that his assistants didn't buy in and cooperate fully since he wasn't "old school SEC" and CTT didn't back him up? Not stating it was, but seems that was the hullabaloo, if memory serves. I liked Borges and thought he would, and should, do great things at AU.

OH, you're right about that!!!! I get worked up enough just watching the game at home, by myself, with my own thoughts.... I stumbled across an in-game thread once and WOW!!! Never again!

It's best to mainly visit the forum DURING the season. That way everybody here has actual game experience and stats to back-up their misery. HEY HEY! Seriously, though, there usually is more negative stuff during the off-season and right before the season. Then, after toe actually meets leather, things start to even out more as EVERYBODY is a little more realistic.

I ain't saying anybody's right or wrong but I find it nearly impossible to believe that a QB in the midst of a race would sit out a preseason scrimmage for anything less than injury or discipline. Pretty sure JJ ain't a discipline problem so I'm sure he sat out due to the hand injury. Not saying it's a serious injury but it's probably serious enough to rest it for a few days, thus the comment about just seeing what the others can do.....since he can't play today anyway.

A little facetious, yes. But on a serious note, I'm REALLY pulling for JF3 to be the guy because I firmly believe he's the type of QB AU needs (as I just said in another post).

I didn't see it (don't have Netflix & don't like "reality shows") but is he really that bad with ball security? That's too bad because I'm one of those who feels he's the type of QB who makes Gus' offense run best. That's too bad...
