  1. I won’t get into good vs bad. My only point was Israel is more socially liberal than much of the US. Whats sad is most of the liberal college activists that mindlessly scream pro Palestinian don’t have a clue what that culture does to gays, ect. https://www.keshetuk.org/uploads/1/3/8/6/13861493/keshet_uk_factsheet_israel_mar13_v3.pdf
  2. Damn gif! Btw My instincts are the churches that are using rattle snakes would have a steadily diminishing congregation.
  3. Dont spoil my current visualization darn it😇
  4. Aw darn it Caught me. Couldn’t resist.
  5. Ironically, Im not sure our maga friends really understand Israel culturally today (vs 3000 years ago). I know I was initially surprised. Ie https://www.timesofisrael.com/in-kiryat-tivon-residents-elect-israels-first-transgender-city-councilor/amp/
  6. Again, it’s a private school. What would he EO exactly?
  7. I understand your point
  8. Of course. But that wasn’t “executive action”
  9. Will say this. Israel has burned a ton of global good will since they were attacked. They’ve gone from the victim to the villain (for many) in just 6 months. And fired up an Islamic recruiting hornets nest.. Im not sure what the right response approach I was/is. but 10 years from now I wonder if they’ll feel they fixed more things than they broke. Long term consequences, regionally and globally, are hard to figure.
  10. It’s a private university. Good luck with that.
  11. Btw Some denominations believe there can be no second coming until everyone on the planet has had an opportunity to hear the Bible. Ie “the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world” (Matthew 24:14). Mormons are even more resolved on this, which is why almost all go out and witness for 1-2 years in their early 20s.
  12. We’ll see if this helps or hurts - but most colleges break for summer in 2-4 weeks.
  13. I’m just a boring Lutheran and don’t know many evangelicals - especially pure literalists. I can appreciate the debates get exhausting but, again, it’s interesting.
  14. Actually I find the religious discussions interesting.
  15. Crap. I assumed I was always right. Let me ponder the concept.
  16. And yet the Dems have freaking out for 6 months straight over Kennedy. But conceptually I agree and have felt for awhile that Trump should be the much more concerned.
  17. Kennedy is becoming a growing force. 13%. And is impacting the other 2 differently than initially predicted. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/04/22/politics/polls-rfk-jr-third-party-independent https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4610416-rfk-jr-hurts-trumps-election-chances-more-than-biden-poll/amp/
  18. The concept of the rapture, as evangelicals define it today. is relatively new (just before the civil war) and pretty much unique to the US. If interested. you can read on John Darby who developed the interpretation.
  19. What I find the most concerning is the assumption/bigotry that if you’re Jewish you must support current Israeli policies (many don’t). It’s like assuming all Americans support Biden’s policies - but at the racial level. It’s creepy, almost Nazi’ish.
  20. I do find blaming Biden for literally everything wrong in the universe and maga never accepting responsibility for anything (Trump culture) very tiresome. However, I agree with your position on Ukraine. Russia has 3 times the population and in a long term attrition war, that rarely ends well for the smaller country.
  21. Ok, I’m nuts. It’s all Biden’s fault again (damn doesn’t that get old?). So to be clear - you fully support Ukraine and see Putin as an enemy of the state and democracies. Right?
  22. For the 100th time - I fully support funding Israel. My issue is with maga not also supporting Ukraine. It’s spooky and adds to the in bed with Putin narrative. The significant delay in promised funding cost many lives and lost territory.
  23. Especially this topic. And in the past 6 months. Finance..
  24. I got my masters at an Ivy and know a few kids that go there. For what I’m told, behind the scenes it’s worse. Divisive tension and confrontations everywhere - from the classrooms to the frats.
