Thought think Fifty and others go after Christians and religion in general a little… too heavy, I think the point was that some churches encourage a doctrine that just isn’t in alignment with Christ teachings. I watched Fox and msnbc last night do their daily analysis on the case. Wow. Fox mocked everyone from judge to jurors and said case was total deep state frivolous, prosecution was doomed. MSNBC was all about the brilliance of the prosecution and whether trump could get jail time and which prison. After watching both anyone would have total bipolar confusion. It further underscored why this country and this forum is sometimes a delusional mess.

So we’re now warmly commending Bama. Maybe the evangelicals are right - because somewhere in the Bible that has to be noted as one of the signs of the apocalypse.

I’ve often wondered if this topic belongs on a political forum. It’s more of a cultural and, for many, personal issue. I recognize there are legal and therefore political consequences, but it’s not Ukraine, the deficit, or even politicians shooting puppies. It’s pretty private stuff. I don’t think Trump is so much a racist as he is an opportunist. The kkk and the like, when mobilized, vote at over 95% turnout. This makes that nutty demographic have a much bigger impact than their actual size. Its just math. Personally I don’t think Trump has strong opinions about anything/ anyone beyond himself and winning. If racists can help enable that - ends justifies the means - he’ll hug them and tell them whatever they want to hear, and support any policy that keeps their loyalty.

The vast majority of the protests simply want the civilian casualties to stop. I realize you see that as supporting Hamas - which is the disagreement.
