  1. Don't misunderstand me. UGA has a great class. But we have a good class as well. As long as we consistently have good classes and meet needs we'll be fine. UGA having a great class doesn't end the world for AU
  2. My statement was a joke but I think many are making a bigger deal than it really is about UGA racking yo this year. Time will tell. I for one really like the class we're bringing in.
  3. Haven't you heard. UGA will sign everyone we want.
  4. Hard to believe the GOAT had been dead for 20yrs today. Love some Farley.
  5. But he only averaged 10yds a carry on the other 5, slacker
  6. Ok. It's just different types of athleticism. I think most would agree that Shaq was pretty athletic but that doesn't mean he could have played WR or safety at LSU. Tim Hudson probably wouldn't have been a very good small forward, yet he was considered to be athletic and versatile in college baseball. The point I was trying to make was that JG's skill set appears could translate well at several positions. JJ on the other hand wasn't really cut out for another spot on the field.
  7. Fair enough. Let's hope he sticks with the good guys and makes all SEC whichever position he may play! WDE.
  8. Not disputing you that people said that about JJ, I simply don't remember him being considered as athletic as we've heard about JG. And you're absolutely right, if he is set on playing QB it won't matter how good of a TE or safety or whatever he could be.
  9. Cole, I understand what you're saying in general, but I don't remotely compare JG to JJ. If JG were to struggle to the point he is passed up by Nix, I would think JG would transition well into another position with his athleticism.
  10. I've asked @bigbird, and he said my chances are 50/50 with her
  11. So, recruited as received rather than safety I assume from article?
  12. Me too! That's one thing I look forward to with Lindsey is the use of more versatile players, hopefully. Also hope he continues to use Cox as a blocker and pass catcher. I'd love to see us line up in a pistol type set with Cox and Pettway in the backfield, a TE and 2. WR. Then keep all those guys on the field throughout a drive utilizing both our power running game and spread it out passing.
  13. Can I read one thread without Jeff's negativity? Guess its time to learn how to use the ignore feature.
  14. Would make the college game have a wider range of competitive teams. The Kentucky's and North Carolina's couldn't sign 5 or 6 of the top 20 kids like they do now. So more of those kids would fall down for teams that aren't perennial powers to pick up.
  15. War Eagle friends! I'm excited about this guy. Sean sticks around we may finally have that QB depth we've been thinking we'd have the last few years.
  16. IMO they'd be crazy to let him go. I believe their run of dominance is over because Troy is back to Troy of old and App State is now in their league. If they continue to compete with those 2 teams they'll have accomplished something in that league.
  17. I agree. Can we not develop a short and medium passing game to balance the offense rather than being dependent on an agile QB. We have a wealth of guys that could be dangerous if we can get the ball to them besides just JF3. FTR I'm not rooting against JF3. I just want the coaches to put the best option on the field and stick with that guy. And that includes if SW wins the job not pulling him in the redzone!!!
  18. I hate the wildcat. And I especially hate rotating QBs. If coaches want JF3 fine, make him the man and stick with it. But if SW is clearly better at this time and wins the job he needs to be the QB until his play dictates otherwise. IMO, rotating disturbs rythym of the offense and I don't understand why you would replace a QB that is winning games.
