  1. Anyone got pics of the 600 new seats that were added? Otherwise, I’m afraid my seat may have just gotten about an inch narrower
  2. I’m not sure if this stat line is the one that people are looking at when referencing his minutes per game. If so, then one would have to logically deduce that something is off in these figures. I do not think it is possible to attempt 239 shots, pull down 212 rebounds, and block 40 shots in 130 minutes of action.
  3. Not trying to oversell what this guys role will likely be, but I don’t think the minutes played on his stat line is correct. There is no way he compiled those stats in 50 minutes of action.
  4. Actually, it is a very weak excuse. Like, I would be insulted that you made up such a lame excuse rather than just telling the truth. You’ve seen film. Either the kid can play or he can’t. And it’s not like we were bringing him in to be a multi year starter. He was a depth piece. And then we are like, “Oh, you’re not actually 5’10”? No thanks, we would rather have nothing.” I hope he didn’t have to pay his own way to visit.
  5. Thanks for the correction. Maybe I am remembering incorrect information. I knew Auburn listed him as 6’11” but I definitely remember seeing somewhere that his combine measurements were “ 6’8”(might have even been 6’9”) but his wingspan gave him the same reach as a typical 7’ person.” I remember thinking at the time that this guy we/I had been calling a 7 footer was actually the same height as Horace Spencer.
  6. The fudging of the numbers being so prevalent and egregious is the only reason that I pointed out that this instance actually wasn’t. Austin Wiley was a 7 footer until he went to the combine and became, IIRC, 6’8”.
  7. To be fair, Auburn only lists him as 6’10”, so it’s not that egregious of a stretch. Maybe Auburn measures them with shoes on
  8. I would be much more excited about the prospect of Lawrence as a shooting guard. The prospect of Lawrence as a 6’4” small forward causes me some concern. Especially if he’s in the same rotation with our 6’7” power forward
  9. Thanks for the info, Ellitor. For the record, I do not question Coach Pearl even when it seems like I’m questioning Coach Pearl. Also, I would be stoked to get Bidunga. I just don’t see him as a true center at 6’9”, regardless of skill set. I know it can work. Plenty of other teams operate without a 7 footer but, in those cases, the whole team is usually taller and longer. Anyway, it still seems like they cut ties with Marshall real quick. He just committed 4 months ago and is a 2024 recruit.
  10. Tshiebwe is a great player but I don’t consider him a traditional center. Lots of teams play without a traditional center and it can work well but the rest of the team is built around that.
  11. Yeah I get what you’re saying but I still don’t understand it. Not fond of 6’9” centers. We are also currently considering a 6’4” SG as a small forward. Sounds like we are headed back to the days of being the shortest team in ncaa. Don’t mean to sound like I’m questioning Bruce but it would be nice if he would give me a call and explain the plan, lol
  12. Not doubting you personally, but I don’t understand this train of thought. They may both be listed as “centers” but they are completely different players. Marshall is 7’ and 300 lbs. Bidunga is 6’9”, 220 and looks more like a replacement for Jaylin Williams. Has Bruce decided to take the team makeup in a different direction?
  13. Obviously, the staff knows better than I do, but I would be ok with C-Mo and Lior as backups if we can find a high quality starter. Like you said, we’re only going to get one starter level guy out of the portal. I would also be happy to get Cambridge back. Can’t have too many athletic wings and he is a lot of fun to watch (even though occasionally frustrating)
  14. Moore is 6’6” and technically a 3. He was our backup 4 this season because Bruce thought he was a better option than Traore.
  15. The disparity in number of free throws is just part of the story. Think about the lost playing time and production from guys sitting on the bench in foul trouble. Think about the effect on the rotation and how to manage personnel groupings. Think about how it affects the way the guys play. It’s hard to contest drives when you know you will get called for a foul and you’re already in foul trouble. The play where Jaylin fouled out, he was barely contesting and was three feet away from a guy who was falling away from him.
  16. Saw that too. First thought was “no way this kid qualifies”🤓
  17. 2010 was such good times. Auburn fans united! All In and everything. AUQBdad letting that dog off the chain. Wish I could remember that dog’s name
  18. Funny thing about this message board………….. Many years ago, someone on side A (and I’ll leave all names out cause everybody knows who the guilty parties are) made the claim that we needed to sign more linebackers. The other side, B, pointed out that we only played 2 linebackers so signing 1 or 2 was plenty. Side A countered that quality matters and 50% of all linebackers never contributed. Side B countered with nu-uh, you’re a doody head, trust the coaches (paraphrasing). Both sides dug in and several years of trench warfare ensued. Fast forward a few years. The battle still rages and side B launches a new offensive with the observation that “hey, our OL recruiting sucks. We have no serviceable OL on our roster.” Side A counters with nu-uh, your a doody head, we got X number, trust the coaches (paraphrasing again). At this point, something unprecedented in the history of trench warfare occurs. Armies A and B promptly leave their trenches, march rank and file across the battlefield, salute each other in passing and heartily dig in to their opponents’ abandoned trenches. And the war still rages to this day. This place is crazy but intoxicatingly addictive. That’s why I seldom post but can never leave. And now I shall quickly blow out this match and duck, lest I catch a proverbial bullet.
  19. I think that is a reasonable and fair nutshell assessment of the entire Harsin/Auburn experience. Not to defend Harsin, but to maybe find something positive in the aftermath: Wasn’t he instrumental in building up the “behind the scenes” staffing and organizational structure of the recruiting department? If so, did any of that survive the fallout?
  20. Moore may look lost because he’s playing the four position when he’s normally a three. Back ups seem to be playing a lot of minutes. Not to make excuses but I’m wondering if some guys are dealing with sickness or something. We started out with a lot of energy but faded fast
  21. Fair points from both of you, and I gathered that Kiffin wasn’t all in on Dart. But personally, and my opinion means nothing, but I’m not sure Sanders is any better. I guess we’ll see.
  22. Yeah I get that but transfers with only one year left, especially QBs, usually want at least a reasonable expectation of playing. Of course, I guess he could always transfer again if he doesn’t win the job
  23. Why would he go to ole miss for his last year when Dart is returning? Does he think he can beat him out?
  24. Anybody checked to see if Stephen’s dad had any eligibility left? That is a big dude
  25. So, any idea who the dude is in the pink suit that looks like he would rather eat crap and die than be there?
