  1. That's awesome! Start bonding right away.
  2. So happy for the kid. I hope he turns into a stud for us. Solid size and he loves Auburn...fine by me!
  3. He picked the Jags, Madden won't help you there. Hope he isn't running the ball, that's a stacked front but he should have a 1-on-1 matchup on the far right with the safety cheating to the left. Hit a play action on him Asa!
  4. There is just something heart warming about Legacy players and they're just so rare.
  5. Well if we look at how Auburn has handled athletes before, then it's pretty clear that he'll get an opportunity to compete at both positions with heavy consideration for where the depth is needed. If he explodes on the scene and is the best WR on the roster or even in the top 6-8 then great stay there. If he struggles to get a look in such a deep group then he can show his talents in the secondary. I've been very pleased with that part of our staff's decision making when moving players to different positions.
  6. Yup, this next cycle's OL class should look similar to this year's WR class. We need an embarrassment of riches when it comes to the big boys up front.
  7. "Won't know now until they have left and the visits are over, unlikely though" @ellitor am I doing it right?
  8. It's definitely not what it used to be. I swear I remember almost every recruit was a ? going into the NSD
  9. The dude is funny on that diva show
  10. I think a Cena-Orton tag team would be fun as hell though. They're kind of an older generation than the current group. Also, I'm pleased to see Rey Mysterio and Rousey getting involved. There are a lot of current talents I'm not that interested in though: Aiden English, Akira Tozawa, Ariya Daivari, Baron Corbin, Big Cass, Bo Dallas, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, Epico Colon, Harper, Jinder Mahal, Karl Anderson, Konnor, Luke Gallows, Mojo Rawley, Neville, Primo Colon, Rhyno, Rowan, Rusev, Scott Dawson, and Viktor can all take a walk in my book. Some need a weight-loss camp they look so doughy and the "big beard" redneck looking fighters don't appeal to me either. Honestly, if you look like you could have been in the movie "Deliverance" than I'm probably not interested. I will say, while I don't like Roman Reigns, his match with the Miz last night was fun.
  11. Neat, 7-on-7 is an excellent way to continue developing a passer.
  12. Give me two of these: 4* Richard Gouraige4* Dylan Wonnum4* Christian MeadowsGrad Transfer Calvin Anderson and Quay Walker then call it a recruiting year!
  13. War Eagle! Glad to have more depth in the secondary!
  14. Foolish, Alabama legitimately only takes some kids so others won't have them. The kids have fo realize any school can put you into the NFL these days if you play well. Film is easy to access and exposure is much more widespread. If you're talented you're just as likely to go to the NFL from Boise State as you are Alabama. It's really more about their physical measurements and technique. Don't know how many great lineman I've seen get shafted in the draft for not having long enough arms.
  15. Which is ridiculous. They have to posses the means to better evaluate players. Not much money in recruiting sites?
  16. That's awesome, I don't look many places outside of 247 really. A number of years ago Scout was all I looked at but they've become terrible.
  17. 1. Good top end speed 2. Great vision as he finds lanes and does an excellent job finishing runs without getting close to the safeties. Didn't see a lot of elusive moves but he puts himself in a position where he doesn't have to do so. 3. Gus probably creamed his pants over how well this kid runs a wild cat. Good to know we found Kerryon's replacement in that sense. No cox-cat. 4. Don't let him field punts for the love of God. He doesn't field any of those cleanly and scares me in that sense. Kids a freak, can't wait to have him.
  18. Heaven forbid a black quarterback just be a quarterback lol. There's always some weird desire to move their position. Didn't hear anyone saying Johnny Manziel should be a receiver But I digress, awesome for Gatewood. I still feel he's better than Fields *ducks under cover*
  19. I like when guys we don't end up with, or that leave us, do well at smaller schools. Thanks for sharing
  20. Awkward situation. Not too worried about the 2020 class quite yet...lol
  21. I think it's a hard line to toe between sunshine pumpers and pessimistic. Regardless, we're all Auburn fans and should approach each other respectfully and politely. We just have too many polarizing issues right now. "Grimes is a settling pick / Grimes is a tremendous coach", "Gus should be fired / Gus is our best option right now", "K Burns is terrible / K Burns is coming along and is a good recruiter." There's not a lot of common ground or middle ground lately.
  22. My thoughts exactly. There's too much time left until next season to be so down on the program.
  23. Wow, heated discussion in here. Recruiting can be a harsh world. From the one interview I think it's very clear everyone is on the same page but Fuqua is remaining hopeful/confident. All will work out for the best for both parties. Maybe I'm not recalling correctly but I'm pretty sure we're loaded at WR and Safety this class. So I don't think we're at much risk. As for Fuqua, I believe he will be fine as well. If he greyshirts it's probably injury related. Otherwise I see him signing.
  24. Wow, I really didn't see this coming but I'm pleased he's gone. Not too impressed with him as a coach or as a recruiter. The interesting thing is who we hire from here. A splash hire would maybe help pull in some last second help at OL...
